Configuring networks and routers has always been an impossibility for me. No matter how closely I follow the directions, I always mess it up.

This morning, my laptop said I needed to upgrade the driver on my wireless connection. After I did, I couldn't get online. The network only showed limited access instead of local and internet. I was about to go to Office Depot and buy a new router when I thought I'd try one last time to play with the old one. I put the disk in my desktop (which is connected by ethernet cable).

Three hours later, I'm done. I have a new network and not only does my desktop and laptop recognize it, but so does my iPhone and iPod (they never recognized the old network.) [More...]

In the John Edwards saga, will Andrew Young go to jail today? What happened to the Enquirer's prediction of an imminent indictment of John Edwards? It's been a week since its announcement. Has the grand jury not met, was the tabloid wrong, or will there be news today? (Doesn't the grand jury meet on Thursdays once or twice a month?)

Who's going home tonight on American Idol? I sure hope it's not Crystal Bowersox or Lilli Scott. Tonight's results will leave the top 12 contestants, the real start of the season.

Who's going home on Survivor? I finally caught up with "24", Damages and The Good Wife. All were excellent this week. I even watched Molly and Jason's wedding last night. It was less schmaltzy than I thought it would be. Maybe it's just that compared to Jake and Vienna, Jason and Molly are a relief to watch. I hope Jakes gets eliminated in week one during DWTS. I'd rather watch Tom DeLay.

Update: (Jeralyn) I just got back from court and a 9 hour hearing (no ruling yet, we're not done, but at least we don't go back for several weeks.) I'm pretty out of touch with the news, but will catch up tomorrow. Thanks to BTD for the open threads today and readers for hanging in. This past week may be longest I've gone without blogging in many years. I'm looking forward to returning.
