Sleep Train Mattress Makers has pulled its ads from Rush Limbaugh's show:
We don't condone negative comments directed toward any group. In response, we are currently pulling our ads from Rush with Rush Limbaugh.
Sleep Number Sara has done the same:
Recent comments by Rush Limbaugh do not align w/our values, so we made decision to immediately suspend all advertising on that program.
So has Quicken Loans:
Due to continued inflammatory comments– along w/valuable feedback from clients & team members– QL has suspended ads on Rush Limbaugh program.
Rush thinks the outcry over his Sandra Fluke remarks are hilarious. He is also unlikely to care if his advertisers jump ship. [More...]

Denver criminal defense attorney Harvey Steinberg does it again. The Douglas County jury has found former Denver Bronco Perrish Cox not guilty of sexual assault charges. Background here. Congrats, Harvey!
After the verdict, Cox said:
Outside the courtroom, Cox expressed appreciation for his attorney, Harvey Steinberg, and others who supported him during the trial. "I love my lawyer and everybody else who's been," with me."
Update: #PerrishCox and "Harvey" are now trending on Twitter in Denver.

Jon BonJovi, the best face in rock and roll, turns 50. Since I'm sure I'm his biggest fan west of the Mississippi, I just have to play one of my favorite songs, "We Weren't Born to Follow." Hit the full screen button and watch the great collage of images. (I know them all by heart.)

How will you raise your hand when they call your name?"

The Attorney General for Pennyslvania filed a Bill of Particulars yesterday in the criminal case against Jerry Sandusky. It provides the ages of the ten alleged victims at the time of the alleged assaults (the youngest was 8) and the locations where they took place.
Eight of the ten alleged victims were abused on Penn State’s campus, including five in the Lasch Football Building.

Edward Norris Myatt is 54 years old, originally from Ballarat in Victoria, Queensland Australia. He's been living in England in recent years, working as a construction worker and selling jewelry. (There's a Myatt Jewelers in Victoria, I have no idea if they are connected.)
I think the pictures tell the story.
Here's the sign that hangs in Bali's airport:

Myatt gets stopped at the airport, they suspect he has swallowed pills, so they arrest him and take him to the hospital where he spends three days, waiting to expel 72 capsules. Then they do their perp walk for the media. (Video here.) Not only does he have to wear an orange shirt, the shirt announces he's a prisoner. ("Pelaku")[More...]

FBI Director Robert Mueller delivered this speech yesterday at the RSA conference in San Francisco. Highlights:
Cyberattacks will replace terrorism as America's number one threat
Terrorism remains the FBI’s top priority. But in the not too distant future, we anticipate that the cyber threat will pose the number one threat to our country.
Stings and more electronic surveillance are coming, including on social networks and wireless technologies: [More...]

At last, after interminable auditions, American Idol tonight gets down to naming the finalists. Update: Now that's how to put on an American Idol show. Almost riveting. There were 33 million votes. And both America's votes and the Judge's wild card picks were spot on. This will be a great season.
Nicolette Sheridan knows how to dress for court. (Rear view here.) She testified today in her civil trial against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry and ABC. The dismissed Housewife is seeking $4 million in damages (I think that's one year's pay) for her wrongful termination from the show. She alleges Marc Cherry slapped her hard in the head, apologized, and then killed off her character. Or something like that.
Cherry and ABC say they decided to kill off her character before the "slap" incident (which they say wasn't a slap but a "light tap". ) Nicolette demonstrated the slap in court today by smacking her lawyer. It had been reported the other Housewives would testify for Cherry and ABC, but lawyers told the court today they won't be called. The trial seems to be of interest to Hollywood media because of the rarity of a single star taking on a network -- David vs. Goliath.

Update: The jury has retired for the evening without a verdict and will resume deliberations tomorrow.
Update: Review of closing arguments here.
A reporter takes this photo around 3:30 pm of a worried Cox in the cafeteria waiting on the verdict.
Closing arguments are underway in the sexual assault trial of former Denver Cornerback Perrish Cox.
Cox did not testify. The defense called one witness and rested. [More...]

The Senate is debating it now, viewable on CSpan2. Presently, Senate David Vitter (R-La) is discussing how a conscience clause will protect his natural right to wear a diaper with a prostitute.

Bob Casey proves that he is not worthy of progressive support. Votes in favor of Blunt Amendment. (Manchin and Ben Nelson other Dems in favor of Blunt, but we already know they make no claims to being actual Dems or progressive. They've been on their own all along. Bob Casey claims otherwise.)
Blunt Amendment defeated 51-48. Pathetic that it was close.

Update (3/1): The written decision rejecting the Crown's bail appeal for Kim DotCom has been released. You can read it here. (Update: This video link seems to be working.)
MegaUpload founder Kim Dotcom gave an in depth interview yesterday to TV3 News in New Zealand. I couldn't get the video to play, but the station posted the transcript.
What's remarkable about reading the transcript is that it feels like you are hearing him speak. That's how passionate Kim Dotcom is about his innocence. He explains MegaUpload and copyright laws a lot better than the Government does in its Indictment. And he answers each question directly -- there are no attempts to deflect the interviewer by answering the question he thinks should have been asked instead of the one actually put to him. He really seems to have nothing to hide. In a nutshell: [More...]
