Trump's Speech

Live-Blogging of Donald Trump's Economic Speech: Tales from the Crypt

Donald inherited a mess and he's fixing it.

He blames life being unaffordable due to the Democratic Biden Administration.

25 million people, many of whom were criminals, drug dealers with no border control.

[Comment: He is batsh*t crazy, he really believes what he is saying]

Biden crushed the dreams of the American people: Flooded your cities with crime, preying on the innocent.

He brought peace to the middle east for the first time in 3,000 years. Lets look at the facts:

After one year, he has achieved more than anyone can even imagine. He stopped people coming over the border. In a few short months, we went from the worst to the best. DC is

We busted the drug cartels, drugs coming in by sea are down 94%.

Under Biden, gas, airfares, hotels were much higher. A Thanksgiving turnkey was done 38%.

Wages are rising up must faster than inflation. More . 100% of all jobs have been in the private sector rather than the government.

He secured 18.3 trillion investments in the U.S.

Much has been accomplished by his favored word: Tariffs. Countries know if they build in the U.S. there are no tariffs.

450k service members will receive $1776. before country.

[Comment: I think he got a huge B-12 shot before coming on. He's talking way too fast, like a motormouth.]

Last year we had the worst military recruitment rate in history. Now we have the best.

He's lowered the cost of the prescriptions by as much as 600%.

[Comment: Does that solve the problem of the massive insurance premium hikes Americans are paying starting in January?

He wants to privatize insurance, claiming the money will go to the people, who can buy their own insurance. He blasts Obamacare.

The radical left Democrats exploited the green energy scam. That's why so many people saw their electric bills soars.

He's going to bring gas down to $1.99 a gallon (Comment: How, by stealing Venezuela's oil?).

We're going to get a new chairman of the Federal Reserve who will reduce mortage rates.

We have never been invaded. The worst thing Biden did was the invasion of the border. The undocumented flooded our country and got health care at taxpayer expense.

As the thousands of foreign migrants and undocumented leave, jobs will be available to Americans. [Comment: Are these jobs Americans will want?]

One year ago, our country was dead and ready to fail.

Our country is back, stronger than ever. When the world sees us next year, they will see a nation faithful to its people.

Have a merry Christmas. [Comment: Thank goodness it's already over. There's virtually no debate on the cable news stations. Right wing networks like News Nation have one guest on, some shill for Trump. MSNBC had one host who used to be Biden's press secretary with a single boring guest. Time to turn back to the Survivor finale, and tonight's new episode of "Dinastia de Casillas" on Telemundo, where even the rival, warring cartel leaders and corrupt military generals are more honest with both their own people and their enemies than Trump is with the American people.]

in 2025 after you pay $2,000. in out of pocket drug costs and will again in 2026 once you hit a $2,100 out of pocket maximum. It used to be around $8,000. This was done by Biden, not Trump, through eliminating the infamous "donut hole". After you hit the $2,100., almost every brand name and generic drug is free for the rest of the year. Until then, if you have a good supplemental Part D drug plan ( AARP has some good ones), the plan will pick up around 1/3 of the cost. Medicare Advantage plans may be different.

I was being snarky at Dementia Donny's complete lack of understanding of basic numbers. He said it tonight, again, about 600 to 1000% decreases in the price of drugs. Only a complete idiot would say or believe that. It is mathmatically impossible. A 600% discount on anything would mean the seller would be paying the buyer 5x the purchase price. Not a recipe for for a profitable business.

"After cuts to federal funding and the firing or early retirement of thousands of government scientists this year, another blow to scientific research landed this week. The Trump administration on Tuesday night announced a plan to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo., one of the world's premier climate and weather science institutions."

The Year Trump Broke the Federal Government
December 21, 2025 at 7:17 am EST By Taegan Goddard 185 Comments

Washington Post: "Missions have shifted or shattered. Entire agencies were deleted. Nearly 300,000 employees were forced out of the federal workforce. The Trump administration froze or shut off billions of dollars in scientific research, gutted or eliminated offices and programs devoted to civil rights and diversity, rewrote the federal hiring system to reward loyalty to the president, and shrank Social Security while installing Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents in hundreds of new offices across the country."

"More changes are coming: Trump officials are planning to cut tens of thousands of open positions from the Department of Veterans Affairs, downgrade performance ratings across the government, and replace the State Department's traditional condemnation of torture and the persecution of minorities worldwide with scrutiny of abortion and youth gender transitioning in other countries."

Three more years of this and the US will be a shell of it's former self.

There seems to be a lot of hope for the midterms. I still have serious doubts there will be a free and fair election in 2026. And, if the Democrats do take the House, it will mean nothing. This regime/reich will simply ignore them. Committee investigations, subpoenas, whatever. All meaningless. They will simply ignore them. The House of Representatives has no enforcement arms. The DOJ no longer exists. It just the Department for Dementia Donny. The US Constitution is just rough TP covered in feces. This is a criminal and rogue government. There is NOTHING, absolutely nothing they will not do. There is no too low or too slimy. Who is going to stop them?

At this point, I am 100% in favor of a military coup. I support it without question. It is the only hope this country has for a future.

at the midterms may have an effect. If they are bad enough the GOP may go along with getting rid of some of these people.

I'm already hearing impeachments for Hegseth and Bondi are planned. The only reason Trump has been able to get away with all that he has is because of his cabinet and their refusal to follow the law. Getting rid of these people and installing people who will follow the law would go a long way toward improving things.

We have already seen elections happening in states like Georgia which you would expect to have problems and didn't. My worry is that Johnson will refuse to seat the winners of the elections. I see all the problems and crimes being committed AFTER the elections are held.

We're at my mother's in Pasadena, CA for the holidays. We got here just ahead of what's being described as the biggest storm of the season. It literally started raining - and raining hard - within 20 minutes of walking in the door tonight.

We flew into Ontario Int'l Airport on the new nonstop from Honolulu offered by the now-merged Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. Ontario is the sane person's alternative to LAX. We were already pulling up to the gate within two minutes after touchdown, and we were out of the airport and heading to Pasadena within 20 minutes of getting off the plane.

If you have to come to L.A. for any reason, try flying into Ontario or Long Beach rather than LAX. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the lack of aggravation to harsh your mellow.

At one time it was pleasant, but its growing popularity eventually began to precede itself and eventually overwhelmed the facility.

One could say the same for Burbank, which is actually the closest airport to my old hometown of Pasadena, but it's also the closest airport to the downtown L.A. financial district, it's always been overly popular with business travelers.

BUR's new terminal is scheduled for completion next year, and that should alleviate the overcrowding, and Alaska / Hawaiian will launch new nonstop service to Honolulu once it's opened.

I personally have never had a problem with LAX, simply because I've flown in and out of there all my life and am used to it. But for first-time passengers there, the experience can be daunting and intimidating, and driving into that airport to pick up or drop off people is a nightmare.

    Aloha.
