I listened to Queen Elizabeth's opening remarks at the state dinner on the car radio early this afternoon on the way back to Denver from court. She didn't say a single nice thing about Donald Trump. She pretty much ignored him, and stuck to talking about the friendly relations the U.S. and Great Britain have shared, focusing on WWII. I only heard the beginning of Trump's remarks, in which he too stuck to WWII (although he did highlight a time in WWII when Queen Elizabeth fixed a vehicle engine.) It seemed like both of them had their aides research WWII to come up with quirky anecdotes that would offend no one.

I am beyond chagrined that someone let Trump out of the White House to represent America at an official function. In my constitutionally protected opinion, he belongs in a closet in the oval office, with his public appearances limited to the virtual world and his public comments restricted to Twitter.

As for Melania, all the media talks about are her clothes. It seems today she channeled Princess Diana. At least tonight at dinner, she didn't wear a tiara to match the Queen and Duchess Camilla. Update: I can't believe we are paying for the entire Trump brood to go on this vacation - what is Tiffany Trump's role? She not a minor, she doesn't live with Trump and she doesn't work for the White House or even the Trump re-election campaign. I wonder if D, Jr. got to bring his girlfriend. Ivanka's tiny hat sat on her forehead like a wet compress for a headache, which she probably had after having to walk behind Melania and hang back with "the crew" as she called them, watching the adults from behind an unstairs window. Or maybe the headache was from watching Jared's disasterous interview on HBO last night.

Trump's entire staff seems to be on hand. This trip should be called "Trump's Most Excellent Con Game " for giving his family and staff a luxury vacation at the expense of America's taxpayers. No wonder he wants a second term.

Is also being said of Jared. You have to wonder if the disastrous frightening AXIOS interview was maybe planned to take some of the attention away from the expected clown show in the UK.

Jared Kushner finally faces the press. It doesn't go well.

It's sort of funny the interview is being called "hard hitting" because instead of letting him get away with not answering questions once he asked some questions as many as three times and allowed him to not answer them.

And then more remarkably let him get away with suggesting there was never any suggestion Trump was a racist before he was president. How hard would it have been instead of cartoonishly sing songing "I know but was it racist" over and over to say ok, what about the Central Park 5. Do YOU believe they are innocent?

He is head of state invited by the U.K. for remembrance of the 75th anniversary of D Day. For Trump not to have gone would have been a slap in the face to both surviving veterans and the U.K.

Because Trump is concerned about insulting people and hurting their feelings. Because veterans would be insulted if the man who mocks POWs, war heroes and gold star families didn't go. Who we assume does almost nothing without forethought at least when it comes to Trump did the whole "I want to see him in prison" thing just to bait him into going off on an insane name calling rant with tombstones in the BG and Ingram in the FG.

Clearly it worked. Once again she shows she can push his buttons.

I'm just not sure it really means or accomplished anything. Trump fans will not care most others will not be surprised.

I suppose it's not a bad thing that he once again shows himself to be a petty childish fool.

But, I mean, who knew.

is why I continue to trust Nancy, she is still living inside his head. Her "lock him up" statement was actually quite brash and IMO meant to instigate him.

IMO, this whole to impeach or not to impeach kabuki is actually letting her control the narrative(at least for now) and that in itself irks tRump to no end.

I can not begin to imagine what her end game will be, maybe she doesn't either, but even without impeachment she maintains plenty of leverage, especially on the psych front.

Personally I believe that tRump is truly insane and that there is a decent chance that he will have a total public meltdown at some point.

His July 4th speech might be very interesting.

The white drape. The furniture was clearly brought in. That's probably not airport lounge furniture.
You have to wonder if that hideous sculpture was also brought in. And if so by whom.
I can imagine the setup happening and Trump says "oh, this is nice. Why don't we put it in the shot"
