Ivanka Trump Brand Boycott Grows

#GrabYourWallet is working. After Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus, TJ Maxx has decided to disassociate from the Ivanka Trump brand. Her father's tweet against Nordstrom didn't hurt Nordstrom, it's stock is slightly up today.

So where can you now find Ivanka's merchandise? According to AV Club, on EBay and in bargain bins.

Trump's actions are taking a toll on the Trump brand.

For more, go to GrabYourWallet. The companies on the left column (in green) are safe to shop at.

Serves them right for who else but a very hateful persons would even consider working for such an aweful person?  Even though the rumor that some Trump hand bags are made from the skin of immigrants shot and skinned on the southern border (possibly by Dick Cheney) has little evidence to support it, why take a chance?

don't wanna deal with customers, period...but hey you gotta pay the rent.

And since they gotta pay the rent, better for all involved that stores don't stock name brands that revile so many customers.

And for the small minority that thirsts for kipple with Trumps name slapped on it, the online store is still open and taking orders. Let freedom ring.

Do you think these sales people are in more danger than the 20,000 Americans who die at the hands of other native born Americans because we allow crazies to carry military weapons?  I don't hear any calls to mitigate an ACTUAL danger that both of us live with and do not think about much.

im the person on this forum who advocated for a federal national ban on handguns in the manner of the federal switchblade law.

i live in seattle. i dont believe someone could walk through my neighborhood wearing a red MAGA hat without a heightened risk of assault - i expect one would at least get the hat knocked off and scream at. i believe trump only got 16% of seattle votes if i remember correctly. i dont imagine ivanka trump products are well received in downtown seattle.

i don't understand any part of your post.

Reminds me of something my drill instructor, Staff Sergeant James T. Curry, said to me in 1966.

"That is not my problem.  That is your problem."

i dont believe someone could walk through my neighborhood wearing a red MAGA hat without a heightened risk of assault

There is so much to pick apart in that statement.  First, what is the current risk of assault, without a red hat, and by what percentage would a red hat raise that risk?  By your statement it sounds like the place is already dangerous, but how dangerous?

i expect one would at least get the hat knocked off and scream at.

You are complaining about something that hasn't happened.  What exactly would you suggest the City Fathers (and Mothers) do to prevent a vague possibility that you "expect?"

i dont imagine ivanka trump products are well received in downtown seattle.

What is the first item on our Action Plan to deal with this potential non-problem?

there weren't any so-called "black-bloc anarchists" around Seattle when I lived there in the early eighties.

Plenty of radical left-wingers, including the Communists Worker's Party, Earth First eco-warriors, and even folks who paid homage to the old northwestern IWW spirit, but there wasn't that counterproductive, nihilistic mentality that seems to be manifesting there now.

This is the nature of the fashion business. one day your stuff sells and the next day it's in the bargain bins and you can't give it away.

Ivanka's problem is that she never worked on original talent. She was all about branding. So if your brand goes in the toilet that's the end of you. If she actually had spent time cultivating talent and being innovative she might actually have something left at the end of her dad's presidency.

looking at photos online, some of the shoes look attractive but they are really just copies of other shoes and when you are in the store there just isnt anything about them that would make you want to buy them.

she reminds me of those married women with antique stores or jewelry stores that never make a profit but which are financed by their wealthy husbands to give them a hobby. not that there is anything wrong with that (ha ha).

That is, Trump voters, in those millions of red counties can rush in to buy the merchandise at their favorite retailers like all Hobby Lobby stores, Chick Fil As, and more. And restrict the sales to those who look and talk like themselves? That should be more than sufficient sales to make up for the whiny folks who won't!
