    No Confidence... (5.00 / 0) (#1)

Sanford City Commissioners vote 3-2 in favor of no confidence in Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee Jr...but only the city manager can fire him.

If this clown isn't sh*tcanned, we can at least bury him in Skittles.

    Screw That !!! (5.00 / 1) (#2)
by ScottW714 on Thu Mar 22, 2012 at 10:52:02 AM EST
Send the Skittles here and I will send him empty wrappers.  I, like Trevon, love Skittles.

I can't see this guy keeping his job.  They have a forensic team going over the area and doing what they cops should have done originally.

The news had their 'experts' discussing just how bad the original 'investigation' had been blundered.  Not good when hacks are talking about how bad you didn't do your job.

I think the Chief would have fared fine had he not opened his mouth.  But every time he does seems like something even dumber comes out.  The problem is there are probably job offers coming in as fast as the Skittles.

Where I learned my lesson was the Big Ten. Best basketball conference in the country clearly.

    I stand corrected....my apologies (none / 0) (#8)
by NYShooter on Thu Mar 22, 2012 at 03:05:20 PM EST
    My excuse:
your discombobulated "explanation" of "W" vs straight up win in the UNC-Asheville got me flummoxed.

Quick story.... may interest you.... probably not

In the Fall of 1964 my friend, and fellow senior at FDR high school, Wes Bialosuknia, were preparing to go to Syracuse to play ball; me, baseball; he, basketball. Wes was the best pure shooter I have ever seen play the game and every school in the country wanted him. His father, knowing he had a future Pro on his hands acted as his manager & mentor. But, a week before we were to leave for 'Cuse we got the news that Dave Bing had also decide to play there. (Bing, I'm sure you know, later played for the Pistons and, after retirement, was a first round Hall of Famer.)

Anyway, there was no way Bailey's father (short for Bialosuknia) was going to let his son play on the same team as All American, Bing, and have to share the limelight with that super star. And, since all the top tier basketball schools had their rosters set, Wes's father decided to send him to Connecticut. Connecticut was a nothing basketball school at the time, but the father decided to roll the dice, and predicted that Wes, with his "Bailey Bomb" shooting skills would put Connecticut on the map as a basketball powerhouse.

Well, as they say, the rest is history. Bailey was true to his father's hopes, and Connecticut went on to become the Powerhouse his father predicted it would. Wesley packed the Arena every place they played, broke all the shooting records, and eventually went on to the pro's in the new ABA.

That's all there is. You can wake up now. lol

The well known BTD curse.  OSU should come through though.

44 points in a game for MSU?  Sparty Nooooooooooooo!

And we won't even get into the implosion of Michigan basketball for oculus' sake.

But maybe OSU can beat the Orange Saturday night. I mean those 34 wins were mostly luck.

And what's with Charles Barkley never giving SU any credit?  We don't get no respect.

    deserves another.

My question is why do the authorities assume the possession of noxious matter was unlawful?  Have they tested it already?  If the noxious matter came from the accused's own arse, how could that be unlawful possession?  Illegal dumping makes sense, unlawful possession assumes facts not in evidence.

Anyways, looks like we're in store for a wild spring of discontent.  Stay outta those ATM vestibules;)

six, count 'em, SIX players transfer out of USF (none / 0) (#12)
by Dadler on Thu Mar 22, 2012 at 04:28:43 PM EST
Two of them starters who would be seniors next year.  Pretty much the coach when that many kids, at one time, up and leave.  So...to renew my USF season tix or not to renew, that is the question.  Methinks it time to look into Stanford seats.  Not buy, just look into.

Go Ohio!! (Cuz I don't give a hoot about any of the other teams, it's lowest seed ho for me.)

    Not a single team (none / 0) (#14)
by brodie on Thu Mar 22, 2012 at 06:18:55 PM EST
left in the tournament from west of the Rockies.  The farthest west teams are Kansas and Baylor.  Whoopdedo.

Whatever happened to the usual western powerhouses like UCLA, Stanford and Gonzaga?  Embarrassing situation.

I think I'll check out who's left with the women's hoops.

    Goes in cycles (none / 0) (#15)
by Dadler on Thu Mar 22, 2012 at 07:58:00 PM EST
But also, those great east coast powerhouses hardly travel during the regular season, and usually not at all pre-conference except Hawaii or the Virgin Islands or some such.  Right now, the east is the beast.  And look out for San Diego State next season, they will be loaded and ready to make a deep run, where this season they were entirely guard oriented with no inside presence at all.

by brodie on Fri Mar 23, 2012 at 09:21:50 AM EST
the Aztecs.  Do they still have that guy from UMich as their coach, Steve Something?  We really need more schools out here stepping up to rep the West of the Rockies portion of the country, where apparently a lot of the local talent goes east to play college ball.

The other thing missing from this tournament is a team to root against, now that Duke and Coach Kay were eliminated early and The Screamer Bobby Knight is retired.  I just can't work up a hate against coach Calamari or Rick Patina or that coach Roy Something at UNC.

Also not a lot of suspense about who's going to win -- either UK or UNC.

Santorum says Obama before Romney (none / 0) (#18)
by Yman on Fri Mar 23, 2012 at 08:06:11 AM EST
"You win by giving people a choice," Santorum said during a campaign stop in Texas. "You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who's just going to be a little different than the person in there."

Santorum added: "If they're going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk of what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate for the future."

Sanchez for three more and now Tebow.  I predict a season long QB controversy for the Jets that almost guarantees they will not get into the playoffs again.

by brodie on Fri Mar 23, 2012 at 09:31:16 AM EST
to pay for the Jets making this deal, and sooner rather than later.  Their new OC is a guy whose speciality is the kind of wildcard option offense that is what made Tebow famous.

Sanchez has mostly been ill served with the Jets and their questionable approaches to the offense, particularly with the incompetent Schottenheimer last year.  If it wasn't for the millions in salary he makes, I'd feel very sorry for Sanchez.

Calgon take me away...or at least fast-forward to Tebow's first 20 yard touchdown rush.
