I was 6-5 last week (though I nailed my bet the mortgage, stone cold lock - Oregon over USC) and my season record stands at 61-65. Slim pickings this week:

Air Force (-7) over Army, Syracuse (-6.5) over Louisville, Illinois (+3) over Michigan, Boise St. (-21) over Hawaii, South Carolina (-4.5) over Arkansas, Oklahoma (-2) over Texas A&M, Missouri (-4.5) over Texas Tech, and Arizona St. (+7) over USC.

Go Gators!

In the EPL, I'm on Chelsea (2/1 favorite) again over Liverpool.

    Tone deaf

    He is the only columnist that gives significance to the continuation of the wars - and rightly mentions that neither party is dealing with them.

    He mentions just about everything else that is of concern to me as well.

    The rest of the pundits seem to be involved with Olbermann.

    But that doesn't mean she is not an unbelievable equine athlete, with maybe the most important quality of all: heart.

    She's going to retire and make some pretty spectacular babies, I think.

    until almost four. Many times you see today's racehorses started so young and horrible injuries as their bodies are still growing and strengthening but their heart to compete is bursting.  You see it in the dog world too sometimes, but not often with injuries that get them killed....just sometimes animal owners seeking glory and it is all about them and not about respecting the animal and putting their health and well being first.  I hope she has a long lush glorious life and many gorgeous babes.

    I don't like that your picks are getting smaller and more careful, which I feel like is an attempt to beef up your record to above .500.

    No picks on TCU/Utah, Alabama/LSU, Stanford/Arizona, or Oklahoma St/Baylor? Really??

    ISU's final shot at the Cornhuskers goes down this afternoon in Ames. This will be the 105th, as they've gone at it since 1896. The record so far: 18-84-2. Starting next year it will be the Hawkeyes' problem. Go Cyclones!

    First time in 8 years, but increases the total times won to 17.  5 more than Navy and 11 more than Army.
