    mr. brown has his faults, it's true. by comparison to ms. whitman(were i a CA voter), it's a no-brainer. i remain unconvinced the woman has ever actually had an original thought. one can be highly successful in business, whilst suffering "the hobgoblin of a boring consistency"

    And anybody who had the late great Joey Ramone stumping for him at one time can't be all bad.

    But whats up with the Prop 19 hatin' Jerry?  You and Barbara know better...for shame Cali Dem establishment, for shame!

    i'm baffled by that as well. (none / 0) (#5)

    But whats up with the Prop 19 hatin' Jerry?

    you would think that mr. brown, of all people, would have a much more realistic view of the actual great harm done, to the state's economy & social fabric, because pot is illegal.

    has anyone inquired within?

    with his current position? Only other thing I can think of is avoiding the "Moonbeam" resurfacing . . .   ;)

    I have a feeling he'll deal with it fine if it passes, money not spent on law enforcement and money brought in in taxes. Boxer will prob eventually agree with the positive environmental impact of not having illegal grows destroy valuable environ {grin}

    personally, i think both are playing to the middle and the right, which in CA, are closer to the center than elsewhere.

    WTF? (none / 0) (#23)
    by kdog on Tue Oct 26, 2010 at 09:11:16 AM EST
    This I had to check out...it seems "Stoners against Prop 19" are afraid the 25 sq. foot garden limit will hamper grower's efforts to deliver the best strains, and it will still be illegal to posess reefer grown by unlicensed sellers.

    Though there are definitely things I would change about Prop 19, and there are real concerns about over-commercialization and the longtime outlaw hero growers being arsed out of a legal market, and god forbid eventual thc content limits...I think the good far outweighs the bad.  Besides, if the regulations hamper the growth of the best strains and new strains, I have no doubt they will still be grown....people like it too much.

    at how many in the culture like things just the way they are... I see their points, but my conscience can't handle the chains on my brothers and sisters, I'd rather pay more taxes.

    I smell a little selfish self-preservation in the opposition within Cali's mj-friendly community...I feel for somebody losing their livelyhood, but progress has always rendered livelyhoods obsolete.
