Richard Strauss composed a piece for piano and narrator?  Naration of Tennyson's poem "Enoch Arden."  Performed her tonight by a fine pianist and Michael York as narrator.

has the same brooding, soulful qualities as Gould.  He was probably acquainted with Gould's recording. We also heard a wonderful performance of Liszt's take on Liebestod from Tristan.

though I think there's one episode to go. Today's episode wasn't as pleasant or interesting as the previous masters episodes. The injection of Top Chef losers from past seasons as sous chefs just poisoned the whole atmosphere.

Now, cannot get it out of my head.  Help!

Every week, I think it's the end, and once again, there's another episode - so the first episode of TC Las Vegas is on one hour before the finale of TC Masters.

Wanted to kick that little twerp Dale from one end of the kitchen to the other.

the song sure lifted my spirits, I love it.

Obama Press Secretary admits Obama born elsewhere (none / 0) (#8)

It's true.  Obama's Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, who knows where the bodies are hidden, had a Freudian Slip today and admitted that President Obama was born somewhere else.

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/Briefing-by-White-House-Press-Secretary-Robert-Gibbs-8/12 09

I can't tell you why somebody believes, despite all preponderance of the evidence, that the President was born here and not somewhere else.

Up until tonight, I have assumed President Obama was born in the United States, but I have to admit that when his own Press Secretary is a birfer, well, it makes me wonder....
