VA Governor Candidate Proposes Increased Drug Sentences

Virginia must have a secret stash of money somewhere. The Republican candidate for Governor, Bob McDonnell, along with the Republican candidate for Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli, are proposing new mandatory minimums for second time drug offenders and lifetime GPS monitoring for violent sex offenders.

Their goal: to make Virginia “one of the most hostile environments in America” for drug dealers.

They also want to speed up the process of terminating parental rights for abusive parents.

McConnell is the current Attorney General in Virginia and a former prosecutor. The Washington Post has more on his plan, including the Democrats' opposition because it doesn't have enough funding for police.

Bob McDonnell comes out with something everyday and our democrat says nothing, or worse, says he too will do the same thing, someday, when he's Governor.  It would be funny if he wasn't a democrat.  Even former Governor Doug Wilder called Creigh Deeds the ''me too'' candidate.

Some good news today, Big shake up in the Deeds campaign.  Lots of new people, really good people, were brought in.

I also have no problem with GPS trackers for violent sex offenders, except to ask - why aren't they in prison longer?

...in an election in Virginia, why ignore the biggest court action taking place in a Virginia courthouse? Sibel Edmonds testimony was last week has gotten no 'air time' in conventional media. (What a surprise)

Her testimony is explosive, if for no other reason than to highlight the way America has been keeping a vast store of whistleblowers under wraps and their witness to what has been going on in our governance, from both sides of the isle. And without this 'light' becoming common knowledge and the chips falling into the justic files, we can never move forward as a unified nation.
The http://www.bradblog.com/ is a good place to catch up on her testimony. Just scroll around Brad's blog and find out the real crimes committed against our nation. http://www.123realchange.blogspot.com/ is another blog to become familiar with. It is a collection of whistleblower's experiences. If our DOJ has any interest in prosecuting criminality these people will be a wealth of information.

The fraudulent use of prosecuting crime by pumping up the volumne on mostly victimless crimes(drug offenses) is an old ploy to keep people focused away from the massive injustices committed against "We the People". As in a media that omits telling us the truth about what has been done to us.

This is the scariest slate of candidates I could possibly imagine winning a state won by Obama. And all of the polling has them ahead. . .

And, no, not Plato's Republic, but the Br'er Rabbit stories. Especially the one about the Tar Baby.

Because that's all the DrugWar has been, a titanic fiscal and political Tar Baby. and the more the US wrestles with it, the more it gets stuck to it. It's time to cut the losses and shovel the thing into History's trash can, because we just cannot afford to play with it anymore.
