Right Wing Group Says Cabranes Cavorted With Terrorists

We have learned that Sen. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III (R-AL) has a favorite Puerto Rican jurist -- Jose Cabranes. Sessions demanded to know why Judge Sotomayor did not follow Judge Cabranes' lead:

Interestingly, Sessions was very critical of Judge Sotomayor's involvement, as a member of the Board of Directors, of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund. Sessions seemed not to know that his favorite Boricua judge, Cabranes, was also a member of the Board of the PRDLEF. Now right wing groups allied with Sessions and following his lead are running an ad attacking Sotomayor as a "terrorist:"

The question needs to be asked of Sen. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III (R-AL) (the KKK sympathizer; the person who said the NAACP was a "commie" group and who berated a white lawyer who worked for civil rights as a "disgrace to his race"), what do he and his allies make of the fact that their favorite Puerto Rican jurist, Jose Cabranes, was also a member of the "terrorist" group - the PRLDEF?

Sessions seemed not to know. . . .

and then we'll fill in the rest of the sentence, because it seems that we can count on Sessions' ignorance, so you can get back to writing about the rest of the idjits.

I don't understand why people have (Obama) deer in their headlights (Eyes). For one thing, Obama picked this nominee because of her affiliation with this group PRFELF who worked with ACORN. Acorn is scamming us independent voters just like Bush and his oil buddy scams. Also, If a white male made a stupid comment like Sotomayor made on 7 occassions, we wouldn't even have a confirmation hearing.

I meant PRDLEF. Sotomayor is a racist, she's bias toward minorities. I'm tired of white males being told to get to the back of the line even if our scores are a grade above a minority. We are told that our preference regardless of effort and intelligence is delegated behind someone of inferior resulkts based solely on race. This is why this country is going down the toilet. If you needed a liver transplant, wouldn't you rather have the highest qualified person or do you want the less qualified doctor because we have to meet a quota, what a scam and disgrace!

You guys must have blinders on. I accidently voted Franken in here in Minnesota. I am an independent, I didn't like Bush. I can't stand Obama and his socialist Union loving policies. He want to turn this country into another Venezuela. And we independents favor the tea party, it isn't a republican or independent issue, it's an issue for all of us to keep our country, not grow government, unions and watch this country go third world. That's what is happening. If people voted for the more sensible candidate instead of the popular candidate, Ron Paul was far better than either candidate.

    Union Example (none / 0) (#27)
by mlk on Wed Jul 15, 2009 at 01:10:41 PM EST
I have a small business. We buy used equipment from shut down factories. Most of these factories shut down because they can't keep up with the exhorbitant costs of union labor. And if you close the borders as many Obama constituents imply, people will be forced to buy these products and the merchandise you buy at Target, Walmart, Costco, etc. will be sky high.
Example: I needed 4 large valves removed from a 50 foot tower. The union company quoted me $28,000 to remove them, the non-union quote was $3,500. I asked the union compnay why so high, they said they needed 4 separate union companies to do the job. I think you get my point.

Obviously your union bias is strong... (5.00 / 1) (#29)
by easilydistracted on Wed Jul 15, 2009 at 01:17:08 PM EST
so why did you even bother to get a quote from a union contractor in the first place? Just curious.

We were presented with 4 contractors, 2 union, 2 non union. We received quotes from all 4.

The union quotes were as follows: $28,000 and $22,000

    The non-union quote were $5300 and $3500

There was quite the difference. The problem is the union companies needed so many extra people and other union compnaies to do the simple job. They said it was protocol. We run into this all the time. union's are a rip off.

It's not even a matter of Bias, it's a matter of fact. If you were forced to pay either $3500 or $28,000, wouldn't you think you were being robbed?

since you weren't actually "forced to pay" and could choose which group you went with.  There is a difference between choosing to give money and being robbed.

Also, this is all completely off topic and has nothing what-so-ever to do with Sotomayor.

He's the only media personality who tells the truth. The rest of the media are fawning and drooling over Obama. I guess most of you are caught up in popularity contests as well. Too worried about what will offend the other guy and not staying your true beliefs. We do not want socialism in this country, who's going to pay for it. Unless most of the people on this site expect handouts and don't want to work hard to keep this country prosperous.
