Cindy Speaks

A condensed version of Cindy McCain's convention speech:

I have a lot of kids. Watch me kiss them.

As I fly around the country in my private jet doing my duty to help the unfortunate, I get really sad.

If we had no federal government to get in our way, rich people could do so much more to help the poor. Only Republicans understand this.

My husband rocks. Women look for a good father when they decide to get hitched. John takes showers with us, er, John showers us with love.

If you don't elect my husband, we're all going to die.

You can trust my husband. He's a good driver. So is Sarah Palin. You want their hands on the wheel.

Sarah Palin shoots guns and buckets. She rocks.

Our current president, Ronald Reagan, is a hero just like my husband. Did you know my husband was a POW?

I only need to speak the word Rwanda and it brings to mind a really good movie. Here's my friend from Rwanda. She rocks.

I am going to vote for my husband and I think you should too. Thanks for listening.

so I'm just tuning in. Thanks for the report. Yuck on Republicans. They just seem like a big cult to me.

This is not what Cindy McCain was saying at all. Personally, I not sure your comments measure up to the standards of your compatriots on the site.

If this derisive, mocking, belittling tone is what Democrats have become, I want nothing to do with it.

But I've seen 'this derisive, mocking, belittling tone' repeatedly aimed at Barack Obama in the three months I've been here this campaign season. And still is.

The Republican convention 'message' lent itself to this kind of parody and it's refreshing to see this tone aimed at the other party for a change.

Gosh, I wonder how she forgot to mention that John was married when they were fell "in love a first sight".  And her perscription pad thefts during her work with her charity.

    And she praises his "honesty"??????

Thanks for mentioning the marital infidelity. (none / 0) (#11)

As a man, I'm not sure I'd be allowed to broach that subject myself.

As for the drug problem, I'm inclined to forgive and forget. In any case, it's a personal failing that doesn't seem in any way directly attributable to John.

    if McCain is still alive?

We watched his speech it is hard to think he is. If elected, will John be the first legally dead man to ever hold the office?
