Via Kevin Drum, conservative James Joyner has woken up to Rudy:

Otherwise, I must concur in Matt Yglesias‘ judgment: “this man is bats[**]t insane.” . . . [T]he more I learn about Giuliani, the less I like him. . . . The more I hear and read, . . ., the more I think Giuliani is either a charlatan or a simpleton. Either he’s lying to us and we therefore have no idea what his foreign policy will be or, worse, this is what he really thinks. Either way, it’s not good.

Rudy is the most dangerous person running for President by far. An insane, lying charlatan, in the words of Joyner. Good to see people are waking up to this fact.

    as to whether I want Mitt or Rudy to be their nominee.  I'm all for any justification for either's defeat in the general, but it's hard to pick which candidate is the most vulnerable.

    If we were attacked (I'm mean really, not one of those scares), I think the unthinking populace could flock to Rudy.  Since I don't see the war as even having the possibility of "going well," I don't see either of them benefitting from their Bushboy stances.

    On the other hand, there are lots of wonderful pics of Rudy in dresses and lots of dirt on him former marriages.

    Dang, I can't make up my mind.

    I think Novakula said something like (paraphrasing), "2008 is the year the dems would most likely win the White House and true to form they shoot themselves in the foot by running a black man and a woman...."

    All obviously objectionable things about this remark aside, 2008 is the year that the republicans ran suits so empty they're still on the hanger.

    Hmmm, which republican loser to hope for?

    window of a van picking up kids from school yesterday here in Alabama said Vote for Ron Paul.  End the Lies.  Restore the Republic.  I was impressed in an appalled left leaning sort of way.

    Ron Paul.  I find him right on the war and shallow on most other issues.  I think if folks who support him read up on his past statements and issues stances, he wouldn't be the darling of web libertarians.

    Clinton's my least fave of the Dem field, but I'd vote for her against any of the Republican contenders.

    With the balance of power in Congress being as precarious as it is, another GOPer in the White House would be catastrophe in my opinion.

    I don't believe in Satan and I'm surprised anyone with libertarian leanings would endorse this symbol of societal control.

    for the worst imaginable person, sometimes I use Genghis Khan.  I don't believe in Satan either my friend...no worries.

    I guess I don't consider Ron Paul a GOP'er...or Dennis Kucinich a DNC'er for that matter.  Those guys are pariahs....and I'm dying to vote for a pariah instead of a crooked corrupted party loyalist of either stripe.

    A party loyalist of either stripe guarantees Americans with guns in Iraq (and dozens of other countries) in 2012 and beyond, and further erosions of liberty here at home, imo.

    Waking up to? Or waking up with?  In my younger years I did get propositioned by Pete Simpson when he was running for a state of Wyoming spot......I can't even remember what he was running for (Al Simpsons usually unzipped brother). I did manage to say NO.  His pickup line delivered to me by one of his drones was precious.....I reminded him a lot of his wife.  Does that one work with right leaning girls?  I was twenty-three years old, what use did I have for husbandy wifish sex?  I had my whole life to look forward to that.

    just wasn't with him on the road I guess.  He has a Clenisesque reputation.  He may have out Clenised the Clenis and most likely because of that didn't do very well politically.  He was very nice looking compared to his brother.  I always found it hard to believe that he and Al were brothers.

    What's taking Romney and Rudy so long?

    why haven't the 2nd and 3rd tier guys referred to Romney as the "governor from massachusetts" ??  when do they start circulating photos of Rudy as a cross dresser?  things that effect the radical base.
