Via Josh Marshall, this is truly unbelievable:

the new issue of Time, on stands today, contains precisely zero stories on the [prosecutor purge] scandal. Nothing. As though it's not happening.

In the "Cybil" struggle over the soul of Time Managing Editor Richard Stengel, it appears Citizen Stengel defeated ME Stengel.

All kidding aside, this is simply inexcusable, horrible, embarrassing, firing offense journalism.

    TIME puts its tables of contentses online, and it looks like they haven't covered it in at least the last several issues, and won't in at least the next couple.

    They do have a couple stories on their web site though.

    The local paper here has had zero news articles on Gonzogate, but two editorials in which they pronounced it a tempest in a teapot.

    Nobody but the blogosphere got too excited about the Libby trial either, at least until verdict day.  IMHO, the MSM missed the best part of that story, the testimony.

    Gonzogate won't be covered until someone gets fired.  Then they'll have Victoria Toensing pronounce it a travesty.  Her hubby already has.

    assuming it's journalism to begin with, it isn't. hasn't been for years now. real journalism goes after storie, with facts, not recitations of party lines, because it requires less heavy lifting, and they get invited to more cocktail parties.

    as a result, none of this surprises me in the least. that it's been reported on at all is amazing, given the maureen dowdism of the MSM for the past 15 years or so.
