The She-Pundit with long blonde hair digs herself into a deeper hole with her comments on the Donny Deutsch show last week about the need for Jews to be "perfected." Via Media Matters, she later appeared on a broadcast of Steve Malzberg's WOR (New York) radio show. You can listen here:

On Malzberg's show, Coulter defended her remarks by saying that she had "stated the ... doctrine of Christianity," and that the idea that Christians "want Jews to be perfected" "comes from that raging anti-Semite St. Paul." She added: "I don't think most Jews are as stupid as Donny Deutsch," and later asked, referring to Deutsch, "Is that guy even bar mitzvahed?"

Coulter: This is a straight statement of Christian doctrine. You can look it up. One of my friends just emailed me from the Oxford University definition -- it's on [the blog] Sweetness and Light -- this is what Christians believe. We believe the Old Testament, and we think the New Testament completes that. I mean, the Old Testament is obviously anticipating some Christ coming. Jews say, "Not that Christ....you got the wrong one."

....we worship -- our savior is a Jew. They say our savior was a raving lunatic, but I was just saying that the New -- we consider, when Jews become Christians, that is becoming a perfected Jew. And that is precisely the theological term.

....MALZBERG: OK. All right. So, is what you're doing is stating what you feel is the literal doctrine of the religion.

Todays christian (at least the christians with book deals and microphones) seems to have figured out how to fit a camel through the eye of a needle.
I don't know if thats perfection, but its pretty damn impressive:)

The mentally ill, be definition, are incapable of making lucidly informed, rational decisions and of protecting themselves from the results of their abberant behaviors and communications. That the Repubs continue to attempt to exploit the mentally ill for political gain is deplorable. Shame on them.

to denounce her opponents' intelligence by implicitly accepting a stereotype (Jews are smart) that seems on the surface to be positive but is in fact reductionist and absurd when considered in depth.

Aren't there any social liberals who'll join me in condemning this bigoted commentator and those on her side of the aisle who by their silence on the issue tells us what their 'true color/s" are?

Not gonna hold my breath on this one. Wouldn't be prudent.

been enamored with the "faith not works". i.e., believing the story is enough, tack.

Just believe that you're already "saved" and you can continue to wage war, grind the poor, view "creation" (and, all-too-often, people), as unliquidated capital. etc etc

Recently they've been uping the ante on dangerous delusion and giving serious credence to the idea that God wants a "purifying" conflagration in the M.E as a precurser to the Second Coming.

These are the people Coulter speaks for.

The Bible can and has been used to support almost every type of prejudice - from slavery to racial prejudice to the second class status of women. The persecution of Jews was based on "Christian" doctrine.

I wish bigots like Ann Coulter would stop misusing the Bible to justify their personal prejudice. Maybe she should work on her own imperfections before she casts the first stone at others.

anyone here is saying that Coulter dosnt have "a right" to keep publicly opening her mouth and trying to get that 30% into the 20s.

She can keep wishing conversion (as all religious people supposedly do), all she wants.
