A 'Do-Something' Congress in 2007

This article previews legislation, in addition to a minimum wage increase, that might be expected to make its way to the president's desk soon after Democrats take control of Congress. The list includes:
  • Easing restrictions on travel to Cuba.
  • Ending tax breaks for companies that set up offshore.
  • Creation of a housing trust fund.
  • Providing for the inspection of cargo and increased transportation security.
President Bush might play obstructionist with his veto pen, but that problem disappears in two years.

they have to do is show up more than two days per week and they will have accomplished more. Worst congress in 60 years exiting stage right. Let's all give them a hand.

    Worst. Congress. Ever.

I can't help but think the worst congress in history is being replaced by the second worst.  Still too many comfortable incumbents completely bought off for my liking.

...and further display his lack of character and intellect for all the world to see so that, maybe, we can someday again be considered a real democracy and not the greatest threat to world peace extant today.
