Limbaugh Skates on Viagra Possession

Rush Limbaugh's shrink has copped to writing a viagra presecription for Rush in his own name. So...Rush's deferred prosecution stays.

The state attorney's office said Dr. Steve Strumwasser's name was on the Viagra bottle, not Limbaugh's. Strumwasser, who is Limbaugh's psychiatrist, told authorities he "agreed to have his name on the label in an effort to avoid potentially embarrassing publicity for the suspect," according to a filing by the prosecutor's office.

"Thus, the medication contained in the subject pill bottle was legitimately prescribed to the suspect by his physician," the filing said.

But, what about the doctor?

It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party's name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly, said Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for the state attorney in Palm Beach County.

The Palm Beach County state attorney's office also said it forwarded the matter to the state Department of Professional Regulation and the Department of Health to determine if the doctor breached ethics.

     Is is really 'skating' when the state attorney states that the conduct is not illegal? As for the Doctor, wouldnt he be in a much better position than Rush to know if such an arrangement was against the law. TL, your vindictiveness is howing.

    Strike One...blame the maid. Strike Two...blame the doctor. Strike Three...? Rush respects drug laws like Leona Helmsley respected tax laws. I hope the doc gets off too.

    One wonders whether Dr. Strumwasser can effectively treat Rush since it appears Dr. S. has lost control of the therapeutic relationship and is being manipulated into inappropriate actions by his patient.

    This is America where even a drug addict can't be denied his God-given right to a stiffy. Y'all realize that we've come to a point in US where we must finally stand up and protect a man's right to his erection. It's been a long time in coming, and it's long overdue, for even today as I write this, men are suffering needlessly in shame and degradation as their shriveled shrunken members hang impotent and useless before a gaggle of giggling Bangkok prostitutes. It's time we put an end to this humiliation and throw off the shackles of midlife sloth and dysfunction. It's time we stopped living in fear that our significant other will tell her girlfriends about our difficulties thereby savagely curtailing the likelihood of us scoring with one of them when she's not looking. It's high time we were able to stand up, fully erect, grinning with pride at our accomplishment once again. I for one will no longer sit by while millions of fat aging wrinkly men are prevented from being all they can be and crashing through those boundaries which are currently closed to them. I've taken it upon myself to write the next constitutional amendment, and will be submitting it for congressional ratification.     If you mean persecution, that is what Limbaugh is all about. Profiting on a career of dishing out hate and mockery and the guy is always looking for a free pass for his own degenerate lifestyle. I guess you guys feel that your ancestors paid your dues and now it is time to live it up at others expense. What an entitled bunch you are. Sadly this smug position marks the begining of our country's decline.

    Actually I complain because you can't reference facts so you keep making personal attacks and hijack the threads with them ... just like this one. Welcome to yet ANOTHER episode of all about jimmy. BTW, that decision only affected Palm Beach, let's see how Dade County reacts.
