CBS Poll: Bush Sinks to 33% Approval Rating

How low can he go? A new CBS poll finds Bush's approval rating at his lowest ever, 33%.

Only 33 percent approve of his job performance, Mr. Bush's lowest approval rating yet in CBS News polls. A majority - 58 percent of those polled - say they disapprove of the president. Mr. Bush appears to be losing support from his own party. His approval rating among Republicans has dropped to 68 percent.

Complete poll results are here. (pdf)

The CBS Poll at 33% subtract 3.5% for the margin of error. Geez, That means it's time to bomb Iran.Let's Roll. I heard they just missed the ever elusive Al Zarqawi a couple of weeks ago. Now You See Him Now You Don't. Let's Roll. Maybe it's time for the Al-Queda Swimsuit Edition. Just to let us know that they are still out there and wrecking havoc everytime Bush's poll numbers tumble Al Queda will rumble.Let's Roll.We need to bring this plane down before it hit's the White House. We need to save George Bush. Let''s Do it. George Bush is a Failure.

To borrow the line from Stephen Colbert, the Bush administration should not be compared to the Titanic. Its more like the Hindenburg.

Yeah, nobody does it like Colbert:
Ok. It doesn't matter. The point is the heart-warming story of a man who was repeatedly punched in the face. So don't pay attention to the approval ratings that say 68% of Americans disapprove of the job this man is doing. I ask you this, does that not also logically mean that 68% approve of the job he's not doing? Think about it.

The question really becomes, what issues does his base disapprove of? The answer is immigration and gas... He is starting to catch on to the immigration issue - see the anthem response and the gas issue goes away immediately if the price drops. If it doesn't, the longer the price stays up, the more people will see it as something that is not Bush's fault. If the MSM starts, as Time did, implying that we should bow to the demands of Iran and Venezula to get cheap oil, the Demos immediately lose. As much as I would like to see the Repubs get a real wake up call, I don't see it. (I may be wrong.) To do a "charlieism," be happy that you are ahead, but it is still not quite halftime and you have had every bit of luck possible and some knuckle headed plays by the other team's QB. Don't even think about counting your chickens....

The answer is the war. Idiot americans are finally starting to realize that even if only a couple thousand americans die, the balance sheet will still grow exponentially. Rumsfeld and Cheney have always been viewed as arrogant, only now that the morons who were all for the war to keep us safe, have realized that the price tag ain't going down any time soon. People of America deserve the consequences of this administrations' policies as they elected him. The 49% who disagreed should be pissed at the demos for running the "I cannot finish a sentence in 400 words or less" Kerry for president. John Kerry is an honorable man and a great public servant, but was a horrible choice for the candidacy. 300 billion and then some could have financed a national h/c plan, instead we are quagmiring away hundreds of millions a month to what end? I still do not advocate leaving because we created the chaos in the country and it is high time americans learn that when you start a war and depose a leader, you are obligated to rebuild and stabilize the country. How about an exit strategy and some transparency as to what is really going on over there? After all, it is OUR money financing this operation and it would be nice to know how long we are going be paying for it.

, Sounds like pretty good qualifications to me.
but was a horrible choice for the candidacy.
This is a reflection on merits of the public, not the man.

I was a delegate for Dennis Kucinich. But, I quickly understood he wasn't going to win, so I had high hopes for Kerry.

PPJ reveals the empty heart of america and himself. Immigration and gas are the only issues that matter. Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me in my SUV, riding high while all the dopes die. Scarcity is the bedwetters war cry. Next verse: 'liberate' Irans oil. They don't need it they have camels.

PPJ re:"The answer is immigration and gas..." Speaking of gas, Bush and the GOP are so full of hot air that if we could only find a way to tap into them we could solve our energy problem. I figure that Rush Limbaugh by himself could light up an average sized city for a year.

Doing good OW, I'll be sending you some pics soon from this season's hotrod I'm crewing on. (3k displacement, 1/2 of it is the bulb.) Sorry all, and back on topic; bush's polls are low because he's doing a bad job. And you can only fool all of the people some of the time.

There will always be a percentage of the electorate that will stand up and be counted, be it for Bush or some other. It is not that they think he is doing a good job, to admit he is not, is to admit they themselves have been wrong in supporting such failure. It is this misguided belief that they cannot be wrong results in the figures.
