On Daily Kos, a site that never ceases to amuse, it is reported that Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reamed out a CNN commentator in Nancy Pelosi b*tch-slaps CNN commentator where she suggested the CNN Commentator go on the White House payroll if the commentator was going to keep mindlessly parrotting the White House line.

Pelosi always was one of the strongest Democrats, but she seemed like a lone voice in the woods. Perhaps others will get a spine and start to speak up.

    it's funny-when you can't answer questions, attack the questioner. Pelosi lied about not knowing a bipartisan commission to investigate the hurricane response was suggested. what a role model for you here.

    Speaking of role models -I guess Bush is the role model for Michael Brown NancyP was right to tell Kyra "Marie Antoinette" Phillips off -- and Miles OBrien can go too as he just said lowering the wage scale from prevailing to minimun wage was a good thing --so the age slaves can suck it up but the big contrators like Halliburton can make as much as they can grap Hey charlie I hope the next disaster happens at your house and that only Michael BRown is available to help I hope a horse judge will do the trick for you

    Jami, Elaborate, please. Self-hatred exists on all sides. Some mask theirs, others put it on display, the rest some combination of the two. Right and left. Pelosi is no great shakes. But TL's point, I think, is that Dems shouldn't allow an MSM that has been disgracefully compliant in the war on terror, in Iraq, etc., to shape the story here in a similar way. Hell, the guy who runs FEMA got his law degree from AN UNACCREDITED INSTITUTION, has more than padded his resume, and has now shown himself almost criminally incompetent in precisely the kind of emergency management situation for which he was hired. Knock mayor Nagin all you want, he's got his own stuff to answer for. However, he has nowhere near the resources of the Feds, that those federal resources would've been needed to safely and securely evacuate the city, and -- oh yes -- mayor Nagin's city was under water and in chaos that no amount of local cops could've controlled.

    How bold and courageous Pelosi is! Golly. It is genuinely sad that a Democratic Congresscritter reaming out a reporter for pro-WH bias is considered worthy of note. That should be something that happens on a regular basis, like twice a day or more. And it should have been four years ago as well.
