I wonder if this was anything like Bush’s segway accident?

Police Officer's Career Takes Sudden Turn For The Worse

I meant to do that ~ Pee Wee Herman

Gotta love the symbolism -- The Shrub collides with law enforcement and "requires treatment" afterward. I hope the officer is OK.

Bush and two-wheelers are sort of like Ford and jet stairs. Poor guy! Hope he didn't get banged up too bad.

yeah, i hope they are both ok. Bet that officer will enjoy telling THAT one at the police bar :D or his grandkids! "what did you do in the war, grandpa?"

"I wanna see a high shine on this latrine, Private Bicycle, a high shine! I wanna be able to see my face in that toilet! Would you like to see my face in that toilet? Answer me Private Bicycle!"

Preznit Shrub should really consider either taking lessons or just forego the whole "bikin' thing" like he did the whole "thinkin' thing".

Can the man just demonstate ONCE that he has some sense of cordination? Crooks & Liars has video of Bush's interview (with Sir Trevor McDonald) with the BBC. He's an embarassment.

Yes, Kitt, I've watched that video three times. He has that eye-blink thing down. Too bad he's not as practiced on his two-wheeler. Or his ability to govern, for that matter.

Yeah - the blinking thing; I was horrified at the manner in which he 'shushed' Sir Trevor. It was awful. Now over at Buzzflash the comments are hilarious while John at Americablog (who also is in Scotland) says it's been a drizzy wet day and Bush is an arrogant pr*ck. {Paraphrasing of course} I was watching some video from the 'Scotsman' and I actually heard someone yell at the police (who were hauling someone off) - "so, we're using American justice, now." That's what I think I heard at any rate. This article in the 'Scotsman' talks about the upcoming seige.

Somebody needs to figure out why this President falls down so much.

    Yep, George is still impatient:
Bush was going at "a pretty good speed" and it was raining lightly at the time... when Bush collided with a British police officer suffering scrapes... that required bandaging.
That about sums up his foreign policy, too.

CNN refers to Bush as an "avid mountain biker." I call bullsh** on that. No way!

Try flying an aircraft, Kitt. Then get back to us on how well you kept the nose level during a turn. Better yet, pull the nose up until you stall, and tell us how you brought it out before you went into a spin. No, don't do that because you probably won't get back to us.

Oh of course, flying a plane is just like riding a bicycle. Except that all pilots are required to demonstrate proficiency to an instructor at a minimum of every 2 years. bush thinks he answers to no_one, the laws of physics and gravity once again prove otherwise. And yes, I'm a private pilot and avid bicyclist, (but sailing is still my passion, it's really close to flying, except your delta v's are a 100 times less and you can go below and get a beer;-).

Why, Jim....is this humor? Flying vs riding a bicycle. Now - I would say one is a tad more difficult than the other and it's not bicycling. Truth be told, I've flown in all sizes of 'planes' but never as pilot or co-pilot.

And you haven't heard of something called an "autopilot?" And delta V's.......? Look, I'm old. make it slow......and easy. BTW - If you do that aboard ship, please be sure you have at least a sea state of 4... ;-)

Kitt - I confess... it was a very small attempt at humor.

Wonder if cursed out the officer, blamed the crash on him, and then denied it afterwards? -C

Lucky he's not a commoner, and lucky it didn't happen here. Common folk get locked up for bumping into police officers in my neighborhood.

Jim, Check out this excerpt from a 1976 Cessna trip with G.W.
"The guy didn't even know how to start the thing," Evans reportedly said. "That was a bad omen. Finally we get it started and roll down the runway, and he tries to take it straight up like a jet! We go into a stall, buzzcrs are going off. I say, 'Give it some gas!' We finally get it airborne, and he decides he better turn around and go back. I can tell he's nervous, but he says, 'Okay, Evvie, got it under control.' We come down and he lands half on the runway and half on the grass. And then he pats my leg and says don't worry, and he takes it up again. This time he's so scared he says, 'Hey, let's fly around Midland.' He had to get his confidence up. Somehow we got back safely. He's never flown again.

V2Marty, That's Don Evans, W's friend, by the way. Just so no one will try to paint this as someone who doesn't like Bush, having made the story up.

    Yeah, I know. Hehehe.....
