Salon Picks Up the Daou Report

Congratulations to Peter Daou, of the excellent blogwire Daou Report. It's part of Salon now. Peter was the online communications advisor to John Kerry's presidential campaign. I always appreciated receiving his e-mail updates.

Maybe someone will pick up Memeorandum next, they deserve wider reading as well.

So why did Atrios get all pissy about Daou Report moving? I don't get that at all.

Oops. Just trolled through the comments and now I see that Atrios was just being snarky at a friend's expense. A little too subtle for my thinking, but I'm glad to see he was joking.

Yeahbut now it's locked behind Salon's Premium wall unless you sit through the ad. I know it's not a huge hardship, but plenty of folks won't bother, which is a shame.

I stumbled across Memeorandum one day; got rid of 15 bookmarks and gained one helluva of a deal in exchange. As for Salon, it's one of the few things I'll pay for on the web. I sat thru plenty of ads to read an article prior to that; it's no big deal and if it is to someone - their loss. If you're interested you'll purchase a membership or sit.
