Trump Ramps Up Vocal Threats to Iran

Donald Trump said today:

"If Iran wants to fight, that will be the official end of Iran..."Never threaten the United States again!"

How about not threatening Iran? Shouldn't that be a two way street? Just yesterday, Iran's foreign minister said:

"There will not be a war since neither we want a war nor does anyone have the illusion they can confront Iran in the region," Mohammad Javad Zarif told state news agency Irna.

Is there anyone (besides his offspring) Donald Trump is capable of peacefully co-existing with?

    To remember the Gulf of Tonkin so-called "incident" and the resolution that followed, leading to an enormous ramp-up in Vietnam.

    Then we had the false "weapons of mass destruction" that led to the war in Iraq.

    I am sick and tired of this country lying our way into war.

    that our only hope is that someone in this Democratic party will speak up against this potential disaster.

    So far, I have not read anything from either the leadership or any of the candidates vying for the 2020 nomination.

    To me, this is a sign that he knows there is some bad news coming down the pike, and he is getting ready to wag the dog BIGLY.  We certainly don't need another war in the Middle East, and we certainly don't want Trump as CIC when there is a real war going on... he can't even handle a trade war without causing issues.

    IMO, we need to stay alert for signs that the major media is getting on board with this, we cannot again let the media be the big cheerleader for a stupid war.

    there are conflicting messages. Bolton is all in on a massive war in the middle east. Trump acts like he is but then he was very critical of the Iraq War and then he starts backing off war because it is not supported by his base.

    One optimistic hope is that the Trump rhetoric is close to his initial take on "Little Rocket Man" and the entire North Korean problem.  He enjoys getting credit for defusing a dangerous situation (that he originally caused).

    sales to US on steroids, due to sanctions on Iran and Venezuela.  Russia gains USD cash revenue based on Trump foreign policy.
