New Yorkers Protests as Trump Visits Trump Tower

Donald Trump returned to Trump Tower yesterday. He was met by throngs of protesters and Bronx cheers.

Trump Protesters are a very very diverse group. Not so much Trump supporters (from one of his campaign rallies):

AR-15, or paramilitary costume to be seen amongst the assembly. Not counting the 5-O of course.

    That's how NYC do...nation take note! ;)

This story from Rachel Maddow last night that touches on Klan protests in Queens, NY attended by our inglorious leader's father paints a pretty clear picture of what we're up against in 2017.

I knew we've always had our nativists and racists in NY...but I never knew the Klan was a thing here.  Especially with all the Catholics.

I'm barely not old enough, but my older brother remembers the dark days in my old neighborhood in Queens when the black factory workers ran from their jobs to the bus stop after their shifts, as to not miss the last bus outta town, lest they get jumped by a mob of white hooligans.  But I am old enough to remember how the black kids who got bussed in from Jamaica got bullied in elementary school in the 80's.

Now it's a culturally diverse neighborhood...but no more factories, the odd Asian-American machine shop aside in the old industrial part of town.
