From Friday's White House Press Conference: Sara Huckabee Sanders responding to a question from CBS News reporter: All of the 16 women who accused Donald Trump of sexual harassment were lying:

Question from CBS News reporter Jacqueline Alemany:

"Obviously sexually harassment has been in the news. At least 16 women accused the president of sexually harassing them throughout the course of the campaign," Alemany said. "Last week during a press conference in the Rose Garden, the president called these accusations 'fake news.' Is the official White House position that all of these women are lying?"

Sanders response:

"Yes. We've been clear on that from the beginning, and the president has spoken on it," Sanders replied.

This isn't a court of law. Trump isn't facing criminal charges. We can base our conclusions on the facts we know and Trump's own admissions, rather than bury our heads in the sand and crying about an imaginary "lynch mob witch hunt!"

a good time to press these charges. with the building storm over the subject of harrassment, after all he admits it on video, and the convergence of the first charges coming from Mueller throwing them off balance.

isn't she? I used to think it was hard to watch Spicer, but Sanders makes me want to hurl things, in between muttering, "are you fking kidding me?"

What a job. What a true believer you'd have to be to say the things she does every day. She apparently has no idea she makes things worse, reinforcing the truth she tries so hard to contradict.

As for Bush 41, just because he's old and in a wheelchair doesn't render the accusations unbelievable.

Miss Huckabee-Sanders demeanor degrades the idea of a useful news briefing and insults reporters and viewers alike. And, after Mr. Kelly's fascist-like entertaining of questions at his last news conference, no one should show up. All to cozy, anyway, with Trump hosting the children of the press at a Halloween Oval Office party. Hard not to feel indebted to someone who is so nice to your little ones.

Halloween Oval Office party for those children and thought it was badly handled. The kids kept looking at the rest of the treats in the cardboard box in hopes of more. IMO he should have had those treats in some type of Halloween container. He's totally insensitive towards others, even children.

But to be brutally frank, if I were a reporter, I would never have let my kids get anywhere near him.
OTOH, if I were a reporter, I would be walking out of the White House press briefings as soon as Huckabee Sanders started spewing her propaganda, so I wouldn't have a job for long.

As for Bush 41, I believe his accusers. But, I am willing to cut 41 some slack if all the incidents have happened in the past few years. I think it might be due to mental deterioration.

There is a long sad history of excusing old men of sexual harassment and assault simply because they are old. And there is, IMO, no good reason for that. These men know what they are doing.

In the case of 41, he pairs his assaults with a stupid, but pointed joke about David Cop-A-Feel. This man knows exactly what he is doing, and he expects to get away with it.

and assault are problems in nursing homes and assisted living facilities...both by and to residents. The employees of such facilities are covered by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act; many resident offenders may be those with reduced mental capacity or Alzhemiers's.

However, the employer has a responsibility to protect its employees. Steps may be taken such as to always have two staff in a room or space with the resident and intervention by the family. Prevention and avoidance is probably the more effective for cases of residents with reduced mental capacity.

In the case of George HW Bush, his wife and family have a role, if he is not mentally competent. It seems that Barbara Bush has been too cavalier, reportedly rolling her eyes, and, maybe, dismissing the seriousness with, oh, that's just George. And, Bush's care givers may be too intimidated to stop or inhibit these actions of the former president.

I agree that neither he, nor anyone else, should be given slack in sexual assault and harassment. Nor, is it a joke to be overlooked or minimized by the family or care givers. The remedy in such cases is complicated and needs to be individualized but, certainly, not ignored or worse, accepted.

Donald Trump was just a rich guy for the twenty years before he was elected president. He was not a mafia don or all that powerful.
Victims who choose to wait months or years to report, whether they are Anita Hill or Donald Trump's accusers, have to face the loss of contemporaneous evidence and even statute issues. The only reason that Hillary Clinton's discrediting of Monica Lewinsky failed was the presence of sperm DNA on the blue dress.
Sixteen women in twenty years is one woman per year with whom something went sour, and it may be from her side as well as his.
It sure looks as if Mike Pence is awfully smart to not be alone with a woman in any setting, and you all made fun of him...
