Ben Carson To Drop Out

Ben Carson says he sees no path forward and will forgo Thursday's Republican debate:

Mr. Carson stopped short of suspending his campaign and said he would provide more details on Friday, but after his dismal showing on Super Tuesday, his campaign is effectively over.

For many African Americans of my generation Dr. Carson was always held up as a black man that we could/should look up to and admire. Everyone I knew growing up had a copy of Gifted Hands. I imagine for many people his campaign has changed that view for good.

    FWIW, I believe Dr. Carson's handlers (5.00 / 1) (#30)

are the real problem here.  Professional parasites manage and manipulate every aspect of a candidate's life and campaign.  When the money dries up and Dr. Carson's vampires scutter away, the reality distortion field will collapse.

When he realizes what happened, he may have something interesting to say about the experience, but he'll have to write it himself.

a beginning and a middle.  The middle was particularly good, suspending a side-job--running for the Republican presidential nomination at a time when he was running the best.  Must have been scary for him to think that he might win.  But, yes, the end is best.

he is Chairman of a new non-profit "My Faith Votes." MFV has a mission "to inspire and motivate Jesus follower to vote."  Sounds like they picked the right guy to energize those Christian voters.

A new path for Ben, and no regrets.  After all Jesus wanted him to run for president, but did say he wanted him to win.   But, it is important to get out the vote since, as he said, in his CPAC/suspension speech, Hillary Clinton must be defeated.  "She is going to get two to four SC picks. Now that is, that's going to I think the future of our children, our grandchildren, all of our progeny.  I think that's just as bad as taking a knife and stabbing them with it , think about that.  So let's not do that."

Yes, let's not do that--the stabbing part, especially without a belt buckle in defense. Onward Grifting Soldiers!
