San Bernadino: No Links to Non-U.S. Terror Groups

At the press conference on San Bernadino today, the FBI was emphatic:

At the news conference, Mr. Bowdich said that at this point, the authorities did not believe that forces beyond the nation’s borders had been involved in orchestrating the attack.

“I want to be crystal clear here — we do not see any evidence so far of a plot outside the continental U.S.,” he said. “We may find it someday, we may not; we don’t know. But right now we’re looking at these two individuals.”

Shhh....don't tell Donald Trump. It will probably ruin his day.

Also, apparently authorities no longer view the wife was the primary radicalized one. They say Syed had been radicalized long before he met her. [More...]

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the pharmacy school and the religious school all have had statements the past two days. They are as divergent as the gossipy statements of her relatives, most of whom never met her, and her supposed school acquaintances. Of course, all have an agenda of running from any association with her heinous acts.

Bottom line: She was a nobody who nobody paid attention to before this happened. A week from now, except for the undeserving victims and their families, no one will remember either of their names.

The only exception might be Pakistani Intelligence, if they recruited her for the purpose of snaring a Muslim husband in the U.S. and then turned them into a dumbed down version of the Russian couple on FX's "The Americans".

But even should that be the case, it's far more likely Pakistani Intelligence was working with al Qaida, not ISIS. That nebulous reference to a FB message "she" posted under an alias was probably posted by someone else as a decoy.

Even ISIS supporters on Twitter have so moved on from this. Donald Trump and right wing conspiracy theorists will soldier on, but this story is done, as far as I can tell.

for the attacks on his $53k salary. 6 weeks ago they took out a $28k loan from an internet-based bank based in Salt Lake.

Maybe Trump will want to ban Mormons now too.

...if there is any recourse the bank can take in someone taking out a loan with no intention of repaying it.  Plus, depending on the debt, state law, and the loan agreement, the heirs might inherit it.

I would like to know how one gets an unsecured loan for $27k who make $50k.  That has to be one hell of an interest rate and he had to have some damn great credit.  We have lose credit, but to take out a cash load for half your salary is unheard of.

I wonder if he used another ID or if in some way took out the loan fraudulently, like lying about his income, if so they are going to want that cash back.  My last vehicle loan had a huge supplement related to fraud, two pages.  And if there is no thing I know, bank cover their a$$es very well.
