New Details on Aaron Swartz

The New Yorker has a new article about Aaron Swartz, mostly consisting of quotes from his family and friends. It's very sad.

Aaron's former girlfriend, Quinn Norton, has an article in the Atlantic, "Life Inside the Aaron Swartz Investigation" about her experience as "a reluctant witness" in the Government's case against Swartz. The Atlantic's editors have written this post about her article. [More....]

Aaron posted the FBI reports he received from an FOIA request here. Wired published this article on the prior FBI investigation of Aaron related to downloading PACER documents.

      maybe most accurately in classical terms with the government as nemesis and Swartz as the  hubristic figure.

    and the more authoritarian, prosecutorial, and criminally legislated we become, more and more of the best and brightest will find themselves on the wrong side of the law...or worse, working on above the law Wall St...to our collective detriment.

    Wasteful, tragic, and so unnecessary.
