Former NOLA Mayor Ray Nagin Indicted

Ray Nagin, the former mayor of New Orleans, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on corruption charges, including bribery, money laundering, wire fraud and filing false tax returns. The indictment is here.

    to a definitional provision of the mail-and-wire fraud laws.  To save it from a powerful attack as being unconstitutionally vague, its reach was significantly restricted by the Supreme Court's giving it a narrow reading in Skilling v U.S. (2010).
