getting old when the singers you listed to in your 20's die like Donna Summer and Whitney Houston. RIP Donna. I sure loved dancing to your music back in the wild and whacky 70's.

    Actually, it's a bit (5.00 / 1) (#2)

scary- she was born the same year I was.  But I was a settled married woman by the time she burst onto the scene.  I was way more into the 60's artists.

few years I have started losing high school classmates pretty regularly. I guess that comes with age.

It's probably that way for a lot of people. I told a friend of mine that I don't know really any current music as I pretty much quit listening when I was 30.  Then you have kids and learn some of what they listen to but you don't like it.

You can indulge both things: your fondness for the music of your youth and taste what's new.  It's a lot easier to listen through stuff you don't particularly like if there are no commercials.  And there's some good stuff out there now.

Just not enough to fill a day.

    RIP (5.00 / 1) (#5)

Sad news.  For all her Disco era fame, imo, she was an underrated talent.
