One of the upsides to being President, says Obama, is you get to have Mick Jagger and B.B. King come over to your house. They got Obama to sing. The concert was part of PBS's Black History Month and will air Feb. 27.[More...]

    And I must say I can't think of a better use of our house than celebrating the blues...one of America's greatest gifts to the world.

    In addition to BB and Mick, they had Gary Clark Jr., Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Jeff Beck, & Buddy Guy up in our house...hot dog that's a good show!  If I was president I'd do something like that once a week, and raid the DEA budget to pay for it.  Change I can believe in;)

    if even i am such a sucker for this, then it's very good politics for President Obama, no matter how much the sourpuss wingnuts might want to grouse about the "entertainer in chief"

    sure beats the hell out of the first and only President Bush playing air guitar with Lee Atwater

    I'm having flashbacks of Clinton on his sax :)  And why does it incite Republicans when a Democratic President can walk and chew gum at the same time as well as make some decent noise that soothes babies?

    about Obama from the last couple months have been about him singing something. He doesn't seem very busy.

    about the media and their customers than it does the president.  

    The guy has sung a couple bars of Al Green and a lil of "Sweet Home Chicago" over a few weeks...no big deal.  

    In fact I kinda appreciate signs of a soul in a politician...if such signs appeared in his policies, now that would be really something;)  Till then we got his singing voice...it sure beats Romney's, which is a form of aural terrorism imo.

    It doesn't take hours and hours away from his work to sing a few bars at some scheduled events.  Why not do it?
