A Much Needed Chuckle . . .

provided by Atrios - "And This Play Is (almost) Over Just In Time For August. Presumably a shark will kill a white woman to celebrate."

Sorry white women, but that's funny. I would have added "blonde" if it were my line.

It is so hard to read at Orange about how powerless our President has been since day one.  Did you all know that there was a super minority in the Senate?  I remember so long ago when Pelosi and Reid had to keep all that precious powder bone dry.  It was Sahara desert dry...remember that?  Someone just shoot me, right phucking now, dissolve my memory please so I can play in fantasy land with the other gentle trusting fools....erm....children.  Having a memory that works is ruining me and is preventing me from getting a pony.

    ah, those were the days.

Was just the other day talking with a co-worker and we somehow started talking about Gilda Radner - Emily Litella and Roseanne Rosannadanna, and Lisa Lupner - which led to all the greats of the SNL glory days - it's never been as good as it was then.  Ackroyd, Chase, Belushi, Murray, Jane Curtin, Lorraine Newman.

Just talking about it cheers me up!

    1. My neighbour got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.

    2. Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 Congressmen.

    3. McDonald's is selling the 1/4 ouncer

    4. Angelina Jolie adopted a child from America.

    5. A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico.

    6. A picture is now only worth 200 words.

    7. When Bill and Hillary travel together, they now have to share a room.

    8. I saw a Mormon with only one wife.

    9. Parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and had to learn their children's names.

    10. And, finally.... I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc., I called the Suicide Hotline. I got a call centre in Pakistan, and when I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck.

looks like most dems will vote no, with just enough voting yes to pass this piece of cr@p.

    Most? (5.00 / 1) (#12)
by BTAL on Mon Aug 01, 2011 at 06:13:41 PM EST
It was split almost 50/50 for the Dems.  Not just enough.

When Pelosi, Hoyer and Wasserman-Schultz announced their Yes vote, they automatically pulled enough of the party to ensure it passed.

The really fun part is that Biden let slip to the Congressional Dems that he was prepared to use the 14th route if no deal.  So he gave away the winning tactic just to stick it to the Democratic party.
