    some funnies. (5.00 / 1) (#1)

    MIDDLE AGE TEXTING CODES:
ATD -at the doctor. BFF -best friend fell. BTW -bring the wheelchair. BYOT -bring your own teeth. FWIW -forgot where I was. GGPBL -gotta go, pacemaker battery low. GHA -got heartburn again. IMHO -is my hearing aid on? LMDO -laughing my dentures out. OMMR -on my massage recliner. ROFLACGU -rolling on floor laughing and can't get up. TTYL -talk to you louder.

    Definitely funny, but..."middle" age? (5.00 / 1) (#5)

As someone who is, I hope, somewhat past the middle (the idea of living until I'm 116 doesn't really thrill me, for some reason), I'd attribute most of those codes to my mother's generation - the 80-somethings.

That being said - all in good humor, of course - you forgot a couple:

DMML - IOOD:  Don't make me laugh, I'm out of Depends.

GTGJWMP (Gotta go, just wet my pants)

to commenting again; glad you're finding things to laugh about - we all need that, I can tell you! - and I appreciate yout contributions no matter what direction they come from.

Here's hoping there will be some 4th of July in the not-too-distant future when we can all once again feel unconditional pride for where we are as a country, and who we are as a people, and that as we face the flag and listen to the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner, our eyes and hearts fill up from joy, instead of from sadness for how far off track we've gotten.

is a good skill to develop.

...How do you decide to leave the United States Supreme Court?"

For now, Ginsburg's answer is, you don't.

There are few more indelicate questions to put to a Supreme Court justice, but Ginsburg has said gracefully, and with apparent good humor, that the president should not expect a retirement letter before 2015.
