ISLAMABAD (AP) - A Pakistani court issued an arrest warrant Saturday for former President Pervez Musharraf in connection with the assassination of ex-premier Benazir Bhutto, while government investigators accused the retired general of involvement in the slaying.

Minor League games over the years in Miami, Charlotte, Corpus Christi, and Charleston. Minor League baseball is tough to beat for entertainment value...and a few minor league parks are just beautiful.

The home opener for the Huntsville Stars is April 13 against the Carolina Mudcats.

year. Merritt Paulson (yep, that's Henry's son) bought our baseball team (Beavers) and our soccer team (Timbers). At the time both teams played in the same stadium, and had done so for years.

Then the Timbers became a MLS team, and MLS requires that their teams play in soccer-only stadiums. That meant a new home for the Beavers had to be built. Well, the process of trying to find a site for a new baseball stadium was poorly managed, had terrible PR people, and failed.

Lacking a baseball stadium, Paulson sold the Beavers. So, no minor league baseball in Portland this year. : (

Personally, I find the soccer-only requirement to be stupid. What a waste of resources to require a municipality to fund separate stadiums, especially in small-medium sized markets.

stadium. I must confess, to my mind it is still and ever will be Civic Stadium, which was its name for many, many years before PGE bought the naming rights.

The Beavers have left town before, and they always come back. I'm hoping, provided the Oregon economy picks up, that the Beavers will be back in Portland in the next couple of years.

the Portland Beavers used to be the Albuquerque Dukes, whom you stole in 2001.  That ballpark in Portland is a beautiful park though.

In turn, Albuqueque stole the team that used to be in Calgary, the Cannons, I think they were called.
