Report on Misbehaving FBI Personnel

CNN has a feature up on FBI employees (agents and others) who have been terminated for breaking rules or engaging in criminal conduct. Here's the document showing the instances over the preceding three years.

There are very few drug allegations, most seem to pertain to sexual misconduct and misuse of funds and databases.

At least the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility takes its duties seriously. There are bound to be a few bad apples everywhere and the OPR seems to be good at weeding them out. (Although the report does says these are "examples" which implies there are more instances.)

    are just like civilians...lots of DUI and credit card fraud...just like the docket when I was on grand jury duty.  

    Well except civilians have no power to abuse...an argument for strictly limited law enforcement powers.

    Seems like these guys would have the perfect resumes to be welcomed down here at the Harris Co Sheriff's office.  Where they can feel free to abuse any law they don't like, with an added chip on there shoulder.

    I knew this girl that went out with a DEA clown, and he would use that badge like I use a credit card, for everything.  The stories he told openly in mixed company were beyond offensive, yet just another day for him.

    Side Note Kdog, NYC was his stomping ground, he would fly up there to make a big bust on a monthly basis.  Those stories intrigued me, just like the movies, guns and all.

    here in town - years ago.  Until recently he was using his old ID to get freebies and discounts around town.  Turns out he stole a lot of money from "friends and family" and is now residing in another country because he doesn't want to face the consequences.  Some cops are the bad guys.

    My only saving grace is the DEA is lousy at their jobs (maybe intentionally?)...the black market rolls on rock-steady, but not without it's casualties and collateral damage.

    I wonder if your DEA clown was the guy in the DEA jacket who threw me on the hood of a car and gave me the business back in the day...wouldn't that be a small world:)

    ... large quantities of heroin.  He told me the limits once on what they would mess with and it was very large, your local dealer's, dealer, wasn't something they bothered with.

    just like regular jury duty, got called in, then sworn in, and off I went to be a DA's office big headache for 30 days.

    2-3 cases a day, mostly DUI's and petty theft...but there were a few highlights.  I was able to convince my fellow grand jurors to no true bill one charge, possession of a needle, my Gregory Peck moment:) My argument?  Maybe the accused is diabetic....and a couple other jurors knew diabetics and were sympathetic.

    The DA's were visibly shocked...no true bills are rare...it was awesome:)

    And of course getting to interogate the cops was tons of fun..."Officer, when was the last time your breathalyzer was calibrated prior to the arrest?"  "What is the margin of error of this make and model breathalyzer?" "Please clarify the probable cause for the stop."  

    If they have a blacklist at the DA's, my arse is on it:)

    are my hero!  Good for you.  And I wish I could have been there to see the DA's face.  I'll certainly remember this if I am ever called to Grand Jury duty.

    60 day suspension for committing a felony, yet fired for having sex in a company car ?  One guy raped his granddaughter and step daughter, what ?

    One guy, a supervisor, used FBI equipment to watch pornos and I quote, "sexually satisfy himself" during work hours.

    Crazy stuff.

    Hoover's FBI.  A long history of sexual perversion in that outfit.

    I'm convinced Hoover's war on pron was just an excuse to have the largest stag film collection all to himself and his playmates.
