Golden Globes Red Carpet Hits and Misses

Michael Douglas looks really good and said he found out last week the tumor is gone, he's cancer free. Catherine Zeta Jones looks great.

Angelina is gorgeous is a green Versace. Love it. Lots of dark green tonight.

Halle Berry looks beautiful but I didn't like the bottom of her Nina Ricci dress.

The worst: Not sure of their names but these two were a disaster (down to the different colored shoes.) Another miss: January Jones and Christina Aguillera.

Tina Fey and Julianna Margulies look very pale and tired. Don't like Tina's dress. Ann Hathaway's sequiny Armani dress wasn't my favorite. Jennifer Lopez's angel look misfires and she looks very bottom-heavy.

Megan Fox's Armani Prive is beautiful.

Don't worry, she did it on purpose (none / 0) (#4)

Helena Bonham Carter is very consistent in deliberately looking strange in her own particular way (it's very similar every time, too). She's married to Tim Burton and is in almost all of his movies, plays Bellatrix LeStrange in the Potter movies, and basically is an oddball in most of her public life--the queen in The King's Speech is the only "normal" role I can even really remember her playing. I think she thinks the whole red carpet thing is a little dumb (her face when she's getting her picture taken always looks a bit bemused), and she doesn't want to play along. I think it's great. She's not trying to look pretty or hot; she's trying to look like a super-quirky individual. Which is to say, like herself.

    Only normal role? (none / 0) (#8)

Ouch! She made her screen debut as Miss Lucy Honeychurch in the divine (and very normal) Merchant-Ivory adaptation of "A Room with a View." I've loved her ever since. But yes, she's definitely trod her own path!
