Late Night: Black Crowes in Aspen

Dateline Aspen: Dinner Saturday night at Matsuhisa (Nobu): Anita and I were seated next to Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, their former son-in-law Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes (headlining Jazz Aspen Snowmass tomorrow night), Chris' new wife Allison and their new baby. The baby was adorable. They were having a great time. At first I wondered if I was witnessing a commercial for the modern, enlightened, extended family unit, but they were having such a good time and they seemed so natural and genuine, I ended up wishing there were more families like them.

The soft-shell crab was excellent.

    It is too hot in the South (none / 0) (#2)

    for dogshows that don't provide a/c space to crate dogs.  That is nuts, but I did get to watch Fareed Zakaria take on a Jihadist and all of his lies this morning and that made my day!  Fareed Zakaria continues to ROCK.

    And I got to watch Trumka (none / 0) (#3)

    take on the "Bush tax cuts must be extended" Todd McCracken.  That was also superior to suffering this morning and hopefully will lead to less financial suffering in everyones future.  Why aren't we seeing more of this debate though all over the news?
