He had made some other comments a few weeks back too that I saw the Army Times covered.  Everyone is a POS in his eyes, we are all on the government teat, lazy, worthless, welfare kings and queens :)  But he will continue to serve :)  And still I would like to know who he is serving and what he is serving up?

Right-wing CNN personality Erick Erickson said with child-like excitement yesterday, "I'm almost giddy thinking about a government shutdown next year. I cannot wait!"

BRING.IT.ON.  Seriously how f*cking stupid is the GOP that they think this will work?  They are just crazy.

all I am saying is that this is not a Bubba and Gringrich redux.  the country has gotten a lot crazier for one thing.

look at the completely ham handed way this administration has handled other things recently from a purely PR standpoint and tell me you have confidence he will be able to turn it back on them like Clinton did.

No one wants a weak president or representatives.

Sure seems to be the main theme at TL, why imagine it would be different for most americans?

should read the Vanity Fair piece it is linking to.

Even as Sarah Palin's public voice grows louder, she has become increasingly secretive, walling herself off from old friends and associates, and attempting to enforce silence from those around her. Following the former Alaska governor's road show, the author delves into the surreal new world Palin now inhabits--a place of fear, anger, and illusion, which has swallowed up the engaging, small-town hockey mom and her family--and the sadness she has left in her wake.

Right after he died we were having dinner at Moms, my nephew sat in my dad's dinner chair at the head...a spider comes down from the ceiling and plops down in front of my nephew...that was supernatural spooky.  We told my nephew 'That's Pa tellin' you to get outta his seat!'

Not sure about the hugs and angels as no one has ever attempted such a thing.

My grandma is not on facebook, and my parents while on it, don't really get it, and they certainly aren't sending anything.  Although my mom has certainly posted unnecessary comments on my wall like "I hope you feel better honey-boney-pie-sweetums-using-my-baby/mom-voice-so-loud-you-can-hear-it-when-i-type".

Report: Illegal immigration to U.S. drastically down

Two-thirds fewer illegal immigrants entered the country last year than crossed U.S. borders each year between 2000 and 2005, according to a new report by the Pew Hispanic Center.

The total number of illegal immigrants living in the country has dropped by 8 percent to 11.1 million, down from a peak of 12 million in 2007.

that from the time we realized Iraq was out of control the "surge" until we were able to begin to seriously leave, over 1000 United States Servicemembers have lost their lives in Iraq.  Perhaps I should say they gave their lives, attempting to make secure what George W Bush broke.  And Iraq is still not what could be easily defined as safe or secure.  I have no idea how many soldiers were wounded during that time frame.
