Basically he is saying everything he has done as Senator is wrong. So why in hell vote for him? He just wrote a commercial against himself.

I wrote a post on it just now. Thanks for the tip.

I think he's right (as you think he's wrong) but we can both agree this sort of epic flip flop takes being a pol to a completely different level.

Move over Senator Kerry, there is a new flip flopper in town.

A few weeks ago, sarcastic unnamed one asked me how my life might be worse if the U.S. were flooded with civil engineering competition from India.

Yesterday, someone mentioned a road in China that it is taking days to get down.  Today I read this.

Guess I don't have to worry too much.  Lookout software engineers though... sounds like they have plenty of those.  Although I still say Indians, like everyone else, are human.  And if they came here to work, they would want to be paid like it to.  I don't see them settling for less.  This article supports that notion.

The U.S. is spending money to train and place workers in other countries that will work cheaper than Indian workers.

Despite President Obama's pledge to retain more hi-tech jobs in the U.S., a federal agency run by a hand-picked Obama appointee has launched a $36 million program to train workers, including 3,000 specialists in IT and related functions, in South Asia.

UPDATE: InformationWeek has learned that USAID just launched a similar campaign in Armenia.

Following their training, the tech workers will be placed with outsourcing vendors in the region that provide offshore IT and business services to American companies looking to take advantage of the Asian subcontinent's low labor costs.

Under director Rajiv Shah, the United States Agency for International Development will partner with private outsourcers in Sri Lanka to teach workers there advanced IT skills like Enterprise Java (Java EE) programming, as well as skills in business process outsourcing and call center support. USAID will also help the trainees brush up on their English language proficiency. link

we call them "stall centers" around the water cooler, India only stalls the caller and gets 'em all pissed off before they get transfered back to the USA:)

One manufacturer we rep even had to shut down their India call center they got so many complaints, musta lost a bundle on that failed adventure in outsourcing...a customer pays a guy in the USA and when a problem arises the customer gets pawned off on India?  They rerally hate that, go figure:)

    Ken Mehlman is coming out
If I had to say what one thing really moved me to create this site it would be the 2004 reelection campaign of George W. Bush, the most homophobic national campaign in history. That campaign was run by one of the nation's worst closeted individuals, Ken Mehlman.

If I first started writing about Mehlman in 2004, why is Ken getting his Roy Cohn Award now? Because I am able to report - here for the first time -- that Ken Mehlman, the former Chairman of the Republican National Committee is set to come out of the closet in a column by Atlantic writer Marc Ambinder Friday morning or early next week. This will be on the heels of him being included in fundraising letter supporting marriage equality.

His post shows a single picture of Reagan, Clinton and GW Bush in front of a flag(s), and a single picture of Obama sans flag, asking the innocent question:

Now. Tell me what is missing from the picture of Obama.

    Stumped?

Look again and repeat the Pledge of Allegiance.

Of course, if you keep scrolling down, the very next post shows a picture of Obama standing in front of two flags.
