Saturday Night Open Thread

I'm sure there's news to report, but I haven't seen much today.

Does anyone have something special planned for Father's Day?

Here's an open thread, all topics welcome.

    in the oven in a castle shaped pan for tomorrow.  Both my husband and Joshua have a castle fascination so I bought a cake pan for castle cakes a few years ago.  It gets used a couple of times a year.  Our "father" came in the kitchen and saw it going in and started jumping up and down a little, then he started laughing because he is over forty years old but he can still get excited about someone baking a castle cake for him.  We will serve him some breakfast in bed too, and I got him a compound miter saw but it is one of the new ones where the saw goes back and forth as well on rails.  He has a nice compound miter saw but he has been drooling over these new versions for over a year now.  He has to sell his old saw though, no more tool hoarding!  It gets obnoxious.

    for make a wish
    let me know.

    bad night.when I woke up very early this morning to come in to work so I can still have a part of a day later I found both Earl the ripsaw catfish and the arowana dead.
    I dont have a clue what happened.  I tested the water and it seemed fine so I gave some to my fish buddy to test.
    might have been the feeder fish I had just given to them.
    anyway, moment of silence.  they both had a good run.  I was finally able to weigh the catfish.  he was 9 pounds.

    to work.

    Sorry to hear the bad news. Sounds like poisoning from the feeder fish. Amazing that the catfish got so big.

    I'm so sorry about your fish, what a HUGE catfish.  Thank you so so much for checking into the Make a Wish thing for me.  I'm soooooooooo tickled.  This will be even more special now!  I have to place a puppy in about half an hour into his new home.  Email me at liberalbarking@yahoo.com and we can get a bit more connected when I get back later today :)  Happy Father's Day.....when you have furkids to look after they can often be not much different from human children.
