Go Cadel in the Giro!  I would love to see BMC win its first ever Grand Tour.

And...  the Vuelta is called the Vuelta a España, not de España.  Not sure why that is...  de makes more sense to this white guy's limited brain, but I have trained myself to use a.

Go Sox!  Beat the evil out of the Yankees.

But Tour TO Spain makes no sense so I change it on my own.

...In 1985, accompanying the US 7/Eleven team in its first international competition.  I covered it for a cycling magazine called CYCLIST.  Coach Mike Neel was a good friend and I rode in the team follow car for several stages.  I took a photo that was too bloody to sell, but has since been pirated all over the internet.

I had a press pass and roamed the pits along with the team.  The Badger won, and Lemond rode for him on La Vie Claire.  Francesco Moser was riding his last stage race.  Heady stuff.

I spent everything I made for writing the story on the trip.  I figured that I got a vacation in Italy, the bike race experience of a lifetime, and paid for it by spending a couple of hours after I got home writing about my adventure.

When I hear those words, I can only think of 1995 and Nelson Mandela and the hope that sprang from that incredible series.  It actually seemed that sport could make a difference in the world...

Trying to figure out how to watch/listen to the world cup matches at w*rk.  My best bet is to listen to one of the Spanish channels on the radio if I can get good reception.

I am amazed at how deftly Los Suns turned itself from a target of a left leaning boycott into a target of right leaning boycott so fast.  That's got to be some sort of record.

Are you really amazed? (none / 0) (#9)

Well, they jumped into a situation where all the polls were showing the majority, some as high as 70%, favored the law.

And shouldn't it be Los Sols?

Have you ever seen such a fast turnabout? Forget conservative/liberal and numbers, have you ever seen an organization switch it's boycotters so efficiently?
