Apple Sends Out Invites for New iPhone

Some more Apple news today, via Mashable and Boy Genius Report: Apple is going to announce the 4G version of the iPhone (presumably Verizon will be getting one) on Thursday. It just sent out press invitations for the event. The new phone should be available in June.

And, if you are curious what your favorite website would look like on the iPad, you can check it out here on iPad Peek. TalkLeft looks great.

    That sounds absolutely lovely (5.00 / 1) (#12)

Anyway, my wife and I are escaping eWorld for one entire month (Nov. 6 - Dec. 4), as we're going to tour southern Africa to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. No cell phones, no internet, no e-mail except what we might access at an intenet cafe in Victoria Falls, Cape Town or Johannesburg. It sounds like heaven.

    Congratulations on your milestone.

    Your trip does sound fantastic (5.00 / 1) (#13)

I would gladly leave my iToys home on a trip like that.

Regarding the youngsters, I noticed it most at Disneyworld last week when I was there with friends that were in town town. Lots of teens and 20 somethings with their own soundtracks going on, tuning out the family - and the Disney music of course, which may been the real aim. And we were no where near the ride who's theme may not be named.

None of the displays on my other computers are this new and sharp, so YMMV. Everything looks better to me compared to what I'm used to.

4g and Verizon will get plenty of people excited.

One more iPad note I meant to say in the open threads - I really see the need for multitasking . With this size screen you do want to do more than one thing at a time. I've read that is in the works for the next iPhone and iPad OS update, so I hope it is soon.

At least, that's what the "4" on the invitation means.

    imagery there by Apple.

This is pretty funny - 65 sketchiest Easter Bunnies.  When I was a kid I used to love reading lavishly illustrated stories about the easter bunny.  But why are these so scary???
