VH-1 Divas: Well Done

If you didn't watch VH-1 Divas, catch it on the re-run. All of the performances, sets and costumes are awesome. This is a huge undertaking, there were 27,000 troops in attendance at Miramar in San Diego.

Kathy Griffin, who I don't usually like, is a terrific host. Her ammunition-topped bikini is a must-see.

The troops even laughed at her account of giving their commanding officer a topless lapdance backstage. [More...]

I haven't seen a lot of these shows (if any) and I had no idea the military allowed such off-color entertainment. Bob Hope might be rolling in his grave, but I think this is a very patriotic and terrific show. Even Snookie and Mike "The Situation" put in an appearance.

I especially liked Katy Perry and Keri Hilson ("Pretty Girl Rock" -- great for the gym via iPod)

was attractive-- her personality reminds me of Jean Arthur's movie personality if Ms. Arthur could have been uncensored.

Also, she loves dogs and gays, so she can't be all bad!

she was attractive, a sense of humor is a very attractive quality, and Kathy is funny...but now she is halfway to Phyllis Diller-ville and I can't get passed it.

To each their own of course, but lifting all the life and living out of your face is very unattractive in my book. Airbrushing is for photos, not for people.

Perhaps in a limited very personal way in her private life, according to some accounts and perceptions.

But KG isn't the sexy, sweet-voiced type to play second-fiddle to a handsome male lead -- she's independent and needs to be the center of attention.

She's a goofball with a very salty tongue who was a born entertainer -- that describes Carole Lombard a lot more than most from yesteryear.

Haven't seen an early pic of Kathy pre-facial surgery, but there might be some reincarnation possibilities here if there were more than just a vague physical resemblance to CL.
