    interesting betting line we had...

i did actually watch much of the nevada/boise game. after watching the ducks. and again it was like watching a game in slow motion. they just don't have the athletes. but it was a great game, and nevada deserved their win. but for two big plays, they absolutely dominated the second half.

Just about every team (none / 0) (#2)

looks slow compared to the hyperactive Canards.  And they're not only fast, they're deep, at least at RB.  That plus a very good QB with a good-enough arm, makes them virtually unstoppable on offense.

Re Nevada, they surprised me with a tremendous defensive showing the 2d half, to go with a quality, experienced QB who came alive late.  Too bad this one had to be largely decided on the failure of the Boisé kicker with his two shanks.  Poor kid is probably going to need special counseling for a while.  I feel for him.

3 great games yesterday involving the top teams.

I don't know, but I would hate to be a kicker.

Team puts kicker in horrible position where they have to score the winning field goal.  When kicker doesn't make the goal, who's to blame?  The kicker.  I guess the bright side is they get lots of glory when they score.

And I think we have found a QB.

    Wisconsin over Northwestern 42-10 (none / 0) (#6)

Of course that's with 1:33 left in the 2nd quarter.

If I understand the system correctly (which is doubtful), the Badgers will be going to the Rose Bowl, unless NW makes a big comeback (worse things have happened to WI). Against TCU?

    And while I was posting (none / 0) (#7)

NW returned the kickoff for a TD, so it's 42-17 with 1:20 left in the 1st half.

It was a good day for the Noles.  Not only did we beat the Gators but we will also be playing for the ACC championship (big thanks to Maryland for beating NC State).

Congrats to coach Jimbo Fisher for turning the program around.
