State Dept. Briefing on Yemen

The U.K. is hosting a conference Wednesday on how to help Yemen. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is attending. (Here's a full list.) The State Department held a briefing today on Yemen. Here's the transcript.

Today's Yemen briefing was by Ambassador Daniel Benjamin of the Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism. What's that? It's not the same as the National Counterrorism Center (NCTC.) But check out this list of U.S. agencies fighting the war on terror. We sure have a lot of them.

    were tied together on some toob nooz today -- that the Brits elevated the terrorist alert to its highest level owing to bringing big targets to this meeting.
