    and Anderson Cooper a lot. I saw the extended version of Dr. Gupta treating the newborn the other night and his personality and bedside manner were really impressive. He seems smart too. And like he's lost 10 pounds this week, his face is really thin tonight.

    All the newscaster doctors (5.00 / 1) (#30)

    have been seriously pitching in in Haiti. In addition to Gupta, I've seen Richard Besser from ABC, Jennifer Ashton from CBS and Nancy Snyderman from NBC. All of them have been treating patients as well as doing stand-up reports. And they are all still in Haiti.

    They all look tired. Not a bit of make-up on any of these TV docs this week.

    ABC news report on Michelle Obama, this week's Person of the Week.
    They showed a clip of Michelle and Barack dancing at the inauguration and I got a little wistful and teary-eyed remembering what a positive moment that was.

    Sigh.

    I will say, I'm liking most of the women. And will DL some of the performances.

    Most of the speakers have been pretty passionate and I think they are connecting well, but it could just be me being emotional and all . . . the images of the children . . .  {weep}

    He'd have some stiff competition in the plea dept. Holly Berry looked stunning and really seemed to speak from the heart with glistening eyes. Then there was the young Haitian man here to study, Bill Clinton, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman etc . . . Ahem . .  Will Smith speaking with Ali sitting next to him? SB doesn't have a chance . . .

    Very well done.  Best song pick of all.

    I also really enjoyed Wyclef Jean's number at the end and the Jay-Z, U2, Rhianna number.  And Justin Timerlake and Christina Aguilera are favorites of mine.

    I thought Madonna was tacky.  Just my opinion though.  YMMV.

    Some of the other song picks were a little questionable for me.

    Bono, Edge, JayZ and Rihanna together doing Stranded.

    Neil Young doesn't look like Neil Young. I'd say it has to be him because no one else could have that voice, except Jimmy Fallon did the other night.

    All in all a very nice show, but it was just a little too low key.

    Compare this message of hope and solidarity with Haiti to the hatred and division that nominal Christians were spewing on the DC mall today. Hard to think of a clearer demonstration of the moral corruption of the modern American right.
