It is pretty funny that the "Left of the Left" public option is more popular than everyone of its critics. In fact, it is easily the most popular feature of the entire health care reform discussion. Jed Lewison explains:

The most recent Daily Kos poll released today shows the public option is supported by a 58-34 margin, including 57-33 among independents and 81-12 among Democrats. Here's the key thing about about that 58-34 margin, though: with President Obama's favorability rating at 52-43, the public option is now more popular than the president.

It's more popular than President Snowe? No way.

    for the public option and information about current developments.  It's only my opinion but Jed has been better at calling out the hipocrisy of the supposed Left, which I feel at this point is our real foe in getting anything done.

    The only reason I come to this site is for BTD's posts.  I've also developed a liking for most of the people who comment here.  IMO a sharp bunch. Reading the comments is an education.

    BTD's recent posts referencing Olympia Snowe as President Snowe have really cracked me up.  This one 'more popular than President Snowe' made my sides hurt.

    But, IMO, those references make a larger point that Washington is isolated from all reality, utterly corrupt and populated with ditzes.

    It's absolutely as whacko as BTD's inference.

    They don't cover the polls that have shown this all along.  MSNBC is recommending Obama do a 'head fake' (uhhh, lie?) in his address and say he supports a public option to get the House to vote a bill through, then the Senate will pass it's bill and the PO can then be killed in conference to get 60 votes.  The people support it, so it must die.  Now the strategy is just to get the House to vote?

    I couldn't watch them for a long time during and after the primary, but I really like Maddow now. At any rate, those three are for the public option and regularly and loudly say so.

    I keep hearing about this "public option", but what exactly are the details?  From which house bill or senate bill?  What exactly are the details of any part of this health package?  "Health care reform"  sounds a lot like "change" to me--an empty mantra.

    quite few different proposals and nothing that has been hammered out is written in stone.
