The only watchable TV coverage of the night has been Anderson Cooper. The best guest on all the networks: New York criminal defense lawyer Ben Brafman, who at Johnny Cochran's request, represented Michael Jackson during the early months of his criminal trial. No spin, no self-promotion, just well-told examples of interactions with Michael, whom he described in part as a very frail, lonely "man-child" who seemed to be in great pain.
Goodnight, Michael, Rest in Peace. I only wish many of those coming out to praise you tonight had been there for you yesterday.
