to keep impeachment on the table when the Executive in office is considered to have committed high crimes and misdemeanors.  The impeachment investigation would have claim on such materials.

the external email servers that Rove and Co. were using or just the official internal WH system emails?

I also wonder if memos are treated the same way as (official) emails, because that's what they really are most similar to.  Though I suppose you could say they are more like phone calls.  I still think they are most like memos.

When Nancy Pelosi sang "Impeachment is off the Table" while, for the first time,  being shown where the Speaker's private lavatory was, that wasn't a "dog whistle." that was more like a four alarm siren, screaming "we're all in this together, nothing to see here, look! there's a shiny new penny!!"

I mean, what does the Obama administration have to lose?  They sift carefully through the emails, cherry pick the ones that make the Bush Admin to be callous, corrupt and self serving and release them.

they will do it to them anyway, whether or not Obama does it now.

Are you really so inattentive as to imagine the GOP follows some sort of fairness doctrine on this stuff?
