The biggest game of the day will be played in Tuscaloosa where the Crimson Tide host LSU. Remarkably, LSU has won the last 4 played in Tuscaloosa. Yet Alabama is a 7.5 point favorite. I like the Tigers (+7.5).

Ohio State travels to Happy Valley to face Penn State. Terrelle Pryor, the Ohio State QB is from Pennsylvania. Ohio State still controls its destiny in the Big Ten, facing Iowa next week at the Horseshoe. The thing is . . . Ohio State just is not very good this year. I like Penn State (-5.5). More . . .

Every time I have picked Iowa this year, they have covered, most times with last minute heroics. Today Iowa is a 15 point favorite over Northwestern. Northwestern has led in this game in the 4th quarter the last 3 years, including a win last year. I'm picking Iowa (-15). More . .

Navy travels to Notre Dame. Navy has the typical precision option play the academies feature. Notre Dame has the players. I'll take Navy (+12.5).

Oregon State travels to Cal. Cal is the ranked team. Cal is the 7 point favorite. I like the Beavers (+7).

Oregon travels to Stanford today. Oregon is a 7 point favorite. It seems impossible to fathom that Oregon is only a 7 point favorite. Stanford has been good at home and Oregon should have some type of letdown from their annihilation of USC but I can not pick against Oregon. I like the Ducks (-7).

The USC Trojans travel to Arizona State today in an ornery mood. the Trojans are not great this year but Arizona State is mediocre. I like the Trojans (-10).

For the season, I am 33-21 (.611) against the spread.

They played Penn State very tough last week, although the score didn't reflect it.

Which is why I don't think Penn State will beat Ohio State, even though I am a Lions fan.

If so, how would the medic fare in a Rose Bowl re-match of September's romp by the football team over Arizona in Iowa City? It was not as close as the 27-17 score indicated.
