HCR: All Eyes On She?

WaPo sez that everyone is waiting for Snowe. Not me. The Senate Finance Committee is no longer The Show. Kagro has a good run down. In any event, the title of my post was really an excuse to post some Pac:

Their latest is on our health care "system" - such as it is.  It's a kind of joke to describe our health care as if it was some kind of predictable, coherent organization.  It isn't!

Informative bits on how health care is actually delivered, whether evidence based care is actually practiced, and if it is practiced, whether it is appreciated.  Who makes the decisions?  Who should make the decisions?  How do they make decisions?

Disappointingly, the average consumer is seen as uninformed, often passive and very susceptible to emotion heavy marketing campaigns.

Oh man, I've still got a touch of radiation poisoning.  They neglected to tell me not to take my BP meds beforehand, so they had a real hard time getting me up to the target heart rate.  Darn near broke their treadmill--they'd never had it going as fast or on such an incline.  The thing was literally smoking when I got off.  The upside is that I'm in pretty darn good shape for someone in my condition.

The downside was the two radioactive injections plus the two 25 minutes x-ray sessions.  And the needle--can't forget that nasty little bit.
